There are mountains of evidence that prove that torture is useless as an intelligence tool. If you'd ever taken a SERE course, you'd know that you'd say anything to stop the pain. In fact, we've had 'terrorists' talking, but not fast enough, so Bush made people torture him, after which he started spewing loads of useless nonsense.
Torture doesn't save lives, and it puts us in a position where we can't complain when our OWN PEOPLE are tortured. Step up to the ideal, or get out of the game.

As much as I love Obama, have to agree that his tendency towards compromise in all cases is a weak spot. If he uses it well, as he did in Europe, it's a definite strength, but if he capitulates in every instance, it's a definite weakness and we all lose because of it. It was not just hippies, but many college kids as well, kids who wanted the freedom, but none who was willing to pay for it, as god forbid they would have to drop out of being a professional student and have to fight.
I do like the fact that being a student is no longer a way to get out of the military if they ever do bring back the draft, which I am all in favor of, BTW.

We are more prone to think outside the Box, the war is not justified in our eyes, just like Vietnam was not justified to the generation of that time. Im not gonna lie, i do get some of my information from this guy, but the really important news updates i go to multiple sources that are not Americanized. Even the RT media group from Russia is very informative for an outside perspective on things internally. You CANNOT count on American News outlets to be accurate. They all have an agenda to follow where as independent Media can act on its own accord. Very important.

Firstly, illegal immigrants can't get into most - if not all - colleges in this country, therefore they can't get access to scholarships and grants. There are mountains of evidence that prove that torture is useless as an intelligence tool. If you'd ever taken a SERE course, you'd know that you'd say anything to stop the pain. In fact, we've had 'terrorists' talking, but not fast enough, so Bush made people torture him, after which he started spewing loads of useless nonsense.
Torture doesn't save lives, and it puts us in a position where we can't complain when our OWN PEOPLE are tortured. Step up to the ideal, or get out of the game.

They weren't picked up in the battlefield at all, period. Over 805 of the detainees in Gitmo were sold to us by the Afghanis and Pakistanis for a bounty. Only 8% of the Gitmo detainees have been categorized as Al Qaeda soldiers. And that info is from government files. How about we torture you and see how much of a river you cry?
