当初は通販ビデオに在った『のうてんき』が収録されてないので買­わなかったのですが、

１年以上も誰も買わなくて、それで漸く買う気になって『ヤマト』­へ行ったら、ウインドーの中でジャケットから出されて見開きにな­った状態で蛍光灯に曝されてて、それで買うのを止めたんです。…­…でも買っておけば良かったな。

What's totally awesome about this opening sequence was that the people who formed GAINAX did it more or less on a shoestring budget--an animation sequence that is truly far ahead of its time (pun very intended given the song used!).

It's the 2nd "anime". The fisrt was the DAICON III opening movie.

@TurboTom3000 Daicon is a japanese Science Fiction convention that occasionally gets held in Osaka. Daicon III was the opening ceremony animation for the third Daicon Convention, this was for the fourth.

No HD version is available, as it was a rare video. Only a laserdisc version is available but that also has a low quality of video.
