  • I mean i wasnt even a crash. The guy hit her in the front knocking her off balance but shw maintained controll. Good job by her

  • Damn... she's fucking awesome :P Let's see any of her critics do something like that...

  • Back to the kitchen.

  • Not a Danica fan, but ARCA drivers are not talented at all, they screw up everything

  • que pericia para dominar ese auto

    es buena la flaca

  • Yea it was a great job Darrell i think she is gonna get alot of experience in that area in the years to come.

  • I like it how all the people kiss Danica's ass when she does her usual crash and burn. She is terrible. Will be the biggest bust in Nascar history

  • @sepeeler she fucking let go of the wheel and people say "nice save"

  • @SuperColossal33 I've seen kyle busch take his hand off the wheel to make a save too, girl can drive she just gotta adjust to a car vs a high powered go kart. Give her time she'll get a win soon enough

  • @sepeeler Im with you lets see how far her ass can take her cause shes got no Tits.

  • drift king jajajajajajaja

  • Respect !!!! like a baws

  • they are commending her for a save on a wreck that was her fault...women

  • @Coltsman4 Are you blind? I am the first to criticize any driver for BS moves, but clearly that white car pulled down on her. She clearly established herself low for more than a couple of seconds before the other car pulled down into her. Even DW commented that the other car sent her into the infied. Its one thing to voice an opinion based on hearsay, but when you have video proof she was hit, all I can figure is you have a personal problem with her. Let's see you do that... moron.

  • @covewatcher i dont have a problem with her but obviously you have a hard on for her

  • that was some great car control. Very impressed.

  • I watched this and when I saw her save it like she did, I cheered. That was one heck of a save!

  • What a slut

She can't drive and will never win a Nascar race

Some man should have fucked her poo spitter punched in her fucking teeth and put her fat ass back in the kitchen where it belongs.

Nascar is for men to drive

The food is for women to cook

I had a piece of corn in my stool lumps... the crazy thing was I didnt eat any corn.

  • @TrannysoreassRex U better shut your mother fuckin mouth b/c that was her first race. stop being so fuckin prejudes and go cry home. if u dont like it, then dont fuckin watch it then. keep ur comment to urself. fuckin bitch

  • @LiVeGaMeR24 Eat my poop you poop eater EAT IT

  • Danica is over rated. If she wasn't hot nobody would care or give her a chance.

  • @ollieroks What are you talking about? She's won an F1 race, has finished 4th at Indy twice I believe, and has the best finish for a woman in Nascar's Nationwide race, which is 3rd. She's far from overrated, she's talented!

  • @Sakabatou77: She has NEVER attempted F1, she won an IndyCar race (totally different), finished 3rd at Indy in 2005 and finished 4th this year at Las Vegas in the Nationwide Series (best female finish ever)!!!

  • @PhilipTheBigOne okay, my bad, but's she not a terrible racer!

  • @Dear4Life: She's more of a consistent racer. Do you know when her last DNF in IndyCar was? March 2009, St. Pete!!! 37 races ago!!! Sure, she got a lucky break at Brazil (would have DNF'd, but the red flag brought her back in), but that has to be impressive!!!

Also, her average finish at Indianapolis is 8,5 (6 starts)!!! Would have been a lot better if Briscoe hadn't taken her out in the pits in 2008!!! That's the ONLY time she didn't finish top 10 at Indy (was running top 10 at the time)!!!

  • @Sakabatou77: Mistake, she finished 3rd in the Indy 500 in 2009, not 2005 (finished 4th in 2005, after leading 19 laps and after leading with 7 to go).

  • Not a big fan of her as a person, but she's a talented driver, no doubt!

  • Top driving.

  • i'm so glad the comments section is mostly in favour of Nascar over Formula 1...

Endurance @ 190mph is no mean feat, thankyou to all the commenters that know the difference between a sprint and a marathon.

  • Nelson Piquet....the Kyle Busch that nobody gives a shit about

  • "They are going to work on that with the hammer"

Fact : A hammer will fix anything

  • @TheBbergner86 and duct tape

  • GREAT gun sounds!!!!

  • piquet jnr is a cunt

  • nelson piquet jr has always been a bit of a dick

  • Has she ever done a Nascar race of thid kind before this point ? And if so how many ? And also is it true she will be driving in Nascar for the 2011 Season as a regular driver Full Time ?

  • @barclaybass ive been watchin racing for about 15 years. i know a lot about racing. you wanna watch a good save? look up jamie mcmurray at las vegas from 09. or greg biffle at darlington from 08. or jamie mcmurray at lowes in 04. those are good saves.

  • i dont care what anybody says, she made a great save and taking her hands off the wheel made it that much better, and she looked damn sexy drivin like that

  • still the most overrated driver in motorsports

  • @SaintBEEP said "still the most overrated driver in motorsports"

How dare you call Dale Jr. overrated!

  • @devilchef01 Danica and Dale Jr are both overrated. probably the two most overrated drivers in racing. possibly some of the most in history. don't get me wrong they're obviously good drivers. but they're no where near as good as fans and tabloids believe them to be

  • If this was any other ARCA driver, they would have hit the wall hard. She did a good job.

  • @CoolNala, Especially considering once you leave the grass and hit that banking, the car shoots up the track. Very impressive save.

  • im sorry. if you ask me, this isnt a save. she spun out. it would have been more impressive if she didnt spin out. but, thats just me.

  • @WildAndCrazySkits U obviously know NOTHING about racing, I'd like to see you get sideswiped at those speeds and not spin out.....duh!

  • @WildAndCrazySkits .....Where the fuck did you see her spin? She got sideways...

  • Watching her in the Nationwide Series, I'm convinced that this was at least 50% dumb luck.

  • @SDCoyote827 It was luck but not dumb, without her help the car may have crashed

  • Und da sagt man Frauen können nicht Auto fahren.!!

  • Nice save!!! Not bad at all!

  • she needs to get herself out of that sport, that's what she needs to do, that sport is for psychos and they are going to get her killed for sure one way or another, she doesn't need to keep competing to make money

  • @affiliate30 what r u on crack? nascar rules!!!!!

  • @affiliate30 idk what your on but you need to lay off of it

  • nebulae87 carl edwards let go of the wheel at talladega in the nationwide series it helps you not break a thumb or wrist i think im not sure

  • danica patrick highlights? why not just post the whole race then... -_-

  • This is coming from a hard core Jeff Gordon fan. That is car control right there. I know the ARCA cars have less horse power, but still. You can't teach that.

  • @DaveyMurray1

ARCA cars have about 200 more horsepower than a nationwide car and about the same as a cup car. So...fail.

  • @LS6CamaroA4

Well that makes it better than! I didn't think ARCA cars had the same amount of horse power thanks for informing me and correcting my mistake.

  • @LS6CamaroA4 But they are still slower cars.... They have a lower compression ratio which also lowers the speed of the cars. They are still a good bit slower than the cup cars. And they are actually the same horsepower as the Nationwide series on almost all tracks except the restrictor plate tracks, there they have about 150 more horses.

  • Danica is a hot BEAST!!!!

  • Car control???..... What BS she let go of the wheel! LMAO!

  • @king0cans your supposed to let go of the wheel in certain situations because that shit would snap your wrist if it gets stuck in there ;) That wasnt one of those situations tho lol. By the way I cant stand Danica

  • @aench Me either...... Open wheel nobody. ONE win on fuel milage...... FAIL!

  • @king0cans get a life... i like to see u race at 220+.... FAG.

  • @king0cans in case you didnt know.....FUEL MILAGE IS PART OF RACING dumb fuck

  • @nebulae87 In case you didn't know... THERE'S AN E IN MILEAGE.

    Dumb fuck.

  • @Maelstrom787 wow....sorry but the rest of us, imperfections, are prone to typos. Sorry we can't be perfect, annoying assholes such as yourself.

  • @aench Yes, in an open wheel car where your wheels hit directly and the steering radii are much smaller. Not in stock cars, though.

  • @aench uh.....no. Never in my 18 years of wtaching nascar have I seen a driver LET GO of the wheel during a crash. Maybe in open wheel cars but not stock cars. You clearly have no clue what you're talking about.

  • Comment removed

  • @king0cans

You are clearly an idiot....she did that, so the car would correct itself..

  • @king0cans heaps of drivers let go of the wheel while racing, its part of the control, you let go so the front wheels correct and face the way of the momentum, you probably wouldnt understand because the only thing you drive are shopping karts

  • In her defense though, I don't believe for a minute ol' Jr didn't know she was there...looked like a good ol' fashioned 'get the hell out of the race women' bump.

  • danica cant drive a stock car, sorry to say...

  • @lolimadethisvid she just has bad luck!! she's learning!!

  • Piquet's spotter: Hey Danicas under you take her out she's up way too high in the race.

  • Wait...I dont follow nascar or F1. BUT wasnt she an F1 driver?

  • @IndyenRtist she was, but she does nascar now, I honestly think that was preety stupid of her, F1 is way more intsnse and its cooler to.

  • @NasahrSandi9 No she wasn't. She has never been in F1. She was in Indycar, and did some driving for Nascar and is now back driving for Indycar again.

  • @NasahrSandi9 WTF! I know F1 is soo much better that nascar (not to be hating on any nascar fans) just everything is far better...but ehh i hope she is doing good.

  • @IndyenRtist F1 is boring as hell...... No action at all, you get in first you win. As long as there are no screw ups on pit road.

  • tape fixes everything

  • She's crashed more times than a drunken illegal.

  • So, looks like Piquet is shit in all forms of motorsport

  • @r0fflec0pt Piquet will probably claim it was team orders.

  • man, she's done her homework

  • It isnt a save if she spins it. And the reason it didnt hit the wall is because it slowed enought to were the tires finally stuck and lauched the car the way it was pointed.

  • @MurphyMonster

Kind of how I see it... I mean, at one point she takes her hands off of the wheel... she just happened to be slow enough and pointed in a good direction, not car control, IMHO.

  • @nickdolin24 Thank you. Someone who understands!

  • @nickdolin24 That is car control. Ever watched an incar cam of a dirt driver? When they start to spin, they let go of the wheel. It helps the cars wheels turn into the direction of momentum, which will save the car. If your turning into the turn during a spin the car will either keep spinning or catch grip and send you the other direction in a sudden switch of motion.

  • does she still race with IRL?

  • this is why nascar sucks, unbelievably slow pit crews and stops, and the only thing the sport has going for it is crashes, not to mention: left turn, straight, left turn, straight, left turn, straight.

  • @hammersgb First of all, this is not NASCAR, this is the ARCA re/max series. Second of all the crew was slow because they wanted to make sure there was no damage or tire rub, third of all NASCAR has alot better things than crashes, good racing, rivalries, close finishes, etc. So no NASCAR isnt all about left turns and crashes.

  • @DaleJrisawesome88, Really Arca is essentially Nascar because the cars are virtually the same or were before Nascar switched. A lot of Nascar drivers get their start in ARCA. The tires are different, but up until this year, the competition level was the only difference between ARCA and Nationwide Series.

  • @hammersgb Slow?? Seriously? In Nascar they have to take off and put on 5 lugs to change tires, in F1 and Indy, they change ONE. And yet? The crews in NASCAR still do it in around 14 seconds. I would about promise you if a tire changer from one of those two series came over and tried nascar, that time would be in the 18-19 second range.

  • that was lucky, not car control, and the proof is that after she "controlled" the car, he suddenly gets grip and goes to where it was pointed, the grass... car control my ass. lucky!

  • @jonysuave

Take a competitive driving course sometime, it's obvious you've never taken one.

  • Who's Tony Jr?

  • @andrea78df Tony EURY Jr.

  • let me rename this video 2010 DANICA PATRICK SHOW Daytona Danica Patrick Crash/Save

  • thats a little thing i like to call luck

  • its funny i was at this race race and the woman sitting next to me was a huge danica hater and she was cheering so hard when this happened

  • She is good for Nascar. Nascar needs some help at this time, fan base is dwindling. All the announcers are going to praise every little thing she does right & ignore or downplay anything she does wrong. Hopefully she will make it...however I don't see how she will ever be able to race the short tracks with all the crap that goes on out there.

  • Proof that 1 woman can drive. Though sadly, it's obvious NASCAR is just too much for her. Good luck Danica!

  • i got 1 word DAMN

  • Babe can drive.

  • Proof that women CAN drive.

  • Lol, that SOME women can drive

  • @taranchula97 no. Proof that SOME women can drive. Some woman can barely tell left from right. The reason I'm saying this. My car was hit today by a woman who put it in reverse instead of 1st gear at a set of traffic lights and hit my car -.-

  • @TGTAP There are men out there who are even stupider.

  • SHE IS ROCKING HOOOTTTTTT

    I LOVE HER

  • Women drivers!! I tell you what! lol

  • I LOVE THIS GIRL!! SHE IS AWESOME!!!

  • wow... that is impressive

i wish they would use more of the road tracks in nascar to actually give the drivers a real challenge of a race

  • @JKboi27 I wish that too! I would add tracks like Laguna Seca and Road Atlanta to the NASCAR schedule. Get rid of that crappy Auto Club Speedway.

  • She decided the Nascar opener Daytona was not for her. Business doing special promotions here in her home town lost their ass bad PR move

  • Reminds me of the first female fighter pilot....only she crashed and died. Danica please drive topless otherwise I could care less.

  • she almost made me cry , kudos im 110% behind her. And she flicking rocks great career move

  • YEA!!!! go danica!!!!! WOHO! I think this is another great addition to nascar! who aggres?

  • dang danika are you okay because you look like you hit hard

  • Damn, Danika is hot! I'd rather watch her in a Nomex Fire Suit racing around the track than Dale Earnhardt JR and Jimmy Johnson or Mark Martin. :)) haha.

  • man there's a lot of Haters here, the woman can drive otherwise should wouldn't be a pro, it's not like you guys are racing with her. To the guy who said basketball is boring are you smoking crack? Golf okay I can see that but basketball? I'd throw my beloved baseball under the boring bus before I claim basketball as a boring sport.

  • whats basketball got to do with nascar???get lost quick and then i'll listen to what you are actually writing. do u get it

  • Its also a borring sport. Do I have to spell out everything to you?

  • This sport is just as borrrring as basketball and golf. I mean really? Driving in an oval for an entire race. Try watching some real racing. Formula 1 racing in Europe.

  • F1 comes here in Indy, good race. gotta love the American Grand Prix.

  • @TheSicilianstunna everybody and their fucking europe stfu and go there, stay there, and die there

  • Comment removed

  • @clos19851 Shut the hell up douchebag hick, and go back to drinking your can of budweiser in your trailer park.

  • @TheSicilianstunna stupid gingavitis toothed imbecile im in the usa not everyone is a chickenhead like yourself u dumbfuck. u stupid idiots always talking your shit about america yet u live here..

  • @dumbshit,clos19851 You cock sucking faggot, learn to spell first of all, second I am talking about that lame shit that you call racing. I never said anything about america you shit kicking redneck fuck.

  • She is a great driver!

  • @spacecalander holy crap no she's not. Try actually watching a race.

  • Comment removed

  • dont write me again, i have my opinion you have yours, i dont care what you think, i have been a nascar fan probably while you where still in diapers, and i have actually raced, im sure you cant say the same, dont care if you do, she is a better driver than you, or you would be in that car, trust me. Dont write me ever again, i dont know you and dont wanna know you.

  • @OpensVeryLargeDoors Wow I didn't know you raced in NASCAR...wait you don't. You're just a fucking hater piece of shit redneck. Go fucking die (after you fucking rape your sister of course)

  • @Beastaphile Yeah, I'm a redneck...or someone who actually watches all types of racing (from NASCAR, F1 to ALMS) to know what makes a good driver and a bad driver. Firstly, it's horrible logic to conclude that because someone doesn't do something, then they have no knowledge of it. Second, if she had any racing sense, she wouldve listened to her spotter and went low instead of driving straight into the goddamn car. She's not a good driver, period. Doesn't mean she can't be, but that was bad.

  • @OpensVeryLargeDoors Again, tell me who do you race for? Just because you WATCH racing, doesn't mean you know ANYTHING about racing. Fuck, I watch the shit out of NFL, but that doesn't mean I have authority to complain, It's called cynicism, not expertise.

  • @Beastaphile Again, your use of logic is questionable, considering that I never claimed to race anything. It's my opinion, of course, but considering she has 1 victory in over 80 career races and the highest she's ever been in points has been 5th, I think my opinion is accurate. Dan Wheldon, a good driver IMO, has 15 wins in 100 races, for example. Surely you have at least a counter-argument to support that she's a good driver rather than just resorting to ad hominem attacks.

  • My logic is permissible, your's is moot. You're nothing but a cynic, a hater, and a covert sexist.

  • @Beastaphile That is patently absurd. I don't hate DP and I am certainly not a sexist. On the contrary, I support women in racing and am a huge fan of Michèle Mouton and Corentine Quiniou. Your logic is not permissible because you assume that I hate all women and DP in particular simply because I question her racing ability. I really am waiting for someone to point out why she is a good driver. She has one open wheel win in 80+ races and has wrecked in 2 of her 3 NASCAR starts.

  • @Beastaphile Please, enough with the ad hominem and try actually defending your position. You think she is a good driver. Please tell me what evidence supports that. She has one win in 80+ starts and has finished no higher than 5th in points. In NASCAR so far, she has wrecked out in 2 of her 3 starts and didn't even qualify for one(got in as a provisional). I hope she turns it around, certainly, because NASCAR is a sport too dominated by men, but I just don't think she's good enough.

  • Comment removed

  • OVLD your comments are arrogant, not based in fact or experience. Your judgment is that of a know-it-all who has never raced anything bigger than a slot car. You have no clue.

You clearly have no idea about that incident. Danica was low at the yellow line running straight. The car above her came down onto her car towards the yellow line.

Being a redneck it is obvious your male ego is shattered by the notion of a snip of girl getting to drive in your hallowed 'boys only' NASCAR races

  • @GrumpyOleMan See, this is what I don't get about this. Because I disagreed with a prior commenter that DP is a good driver, that makes me a redneck? So, if instead I agreed with the commenter, that would have then made me a non-redneck? Granted, I've never said DP was a poor driver, only that she wasn't great. She's average, and it's an insult to put her amongst the Franchitti/Briscoe/Wheldon's of Indy. She has one win in 80+ starts.

  • See, you use the usual crap in your judgment that shows you will not let facts or truth interfere with your. How is it an insult to put the driver who finished 5th in the championship against the 4 who finished ahead of her?? Most of the drivers in that or any other series dont have a win. Whether you want to admit it or not, she has proven she is one of the top drivers in IRL.

Any fool with more than 2 braincells can see that. You clearly have an ulterior motive for your meanness

  • Try not to use sarcasm in print, as it doesn't come across. Voice tone and expression are required. You called yourself a redneck, I didn't. ;)

Try looking at DP from a different perspective. A snip of a girl is taking on the entire male dominated sport of car racing. NASCAR is particularly rotten with bigots and good ole boys out to knock her down, yet she is standing tall.

She is a rookie and this was her first race, yet you judge her as harshly as if she Dale Jr with no win in over 3 years

  • You are entitled to your opinion as much as anyone else, however I think you would have a lot more credibility if your opinion was more reasoned and less critical, especially considering much of what you said is not based in fact

  • @GrumpyOleMan I can see your point but I think the criticism is mostly rooted in the fact that expectations are so damn high for her in NASCAR when she really hasn't shown to be a superstar at the Indy level.

  • @GrumpyOleMan And furthermore, I could care less if she drives or not. If she decides to make a fulltime go of it, then good luck to her. Personally, I just think she'll be about as successful in NASCAR as Robby Gordon. And since I don't live in the south and don't think Obama is a Muslim, I think I'm devoid of redneck status.

  • better than robby, cuz robby SUX!

  • @ericstranne robby is a established driver in multiple series! in nascar he runs his own team with very limited equipment and he runs well. danica gets the best equipment money can buy and tears up the majority of it. quit sucking danica's dick and understand what you are talking about before running your mouth!

  • @GrumpyOleMan "snip of a girl?"...she is not much smaller than a lot of the "snips of a boy" that is racing nowadays. Don't see how a lot of them see over the steering wheel, must be looking thru it. Also she may be more masculine than some of the present set of "good ol' boys".

  • That was some great drivin by Danica, no doubt.

  • Wasn't even her fault. the 6 car went down into her as she was passing on the inside.

  • @KathrynAnne454

So I guess that save was just luck then.

I thought she did a good job last night. At least she didn't just make laps. Can't wait to see what she can do in the nationwide car in California.

  • if by running into people, you mean running into people with the rear end of her car,.....

well yes, i agree with you.

i saw all kinds of drivers giving her the "rough bump draft" from the midway point on. for a first race in the pack at speed, the only true deficiency i noticed in her driving was her inability to predict the best pathways in the pack; a skill that can only be learned with experience. overall, i judge it to be a smashing success-and i counted myself as a doubter until saturday

  • Im in exactly the same boat as you buddy. The others didnt treat her like a celebrity (as the TV crew did), they treated her like they would any other driver, it was a good race, she was pretty decent, and your right - her inexperiance only really showed through on her final charge in the last 10 laps when she tried a couple of ambitious passes and ended up falling back, like you say, that kind of thing comes wiht experiance - restrictor-plate racing is tough on rookies.

  • @KathrynAnne454 she just started driving nascars and she finished 7th so back off

  • @radar698 just saying...but she finished 6th by a hair

  • @KathrynAnne454 Danica is racing and you are still walking around in horse shit. lol.

  • I watched the race in entirety. Can you tell me at what laps did they happened? Because I dont recall any of that.

  • I did, and Ive no idea what race you were watching, because I saw none of that happening. People nearly wreck each other all the time at Daytona, its the nature of racing there! People run into others at Daytona all the time, its called bump drafting! I think she did good, I remember seeing this save live and being gobsmacked, I would have applauded that save from ANY driver, let alone Mrs Patrick.

  • good save, i had my doubts...but this is starting to show that she can drive.
