This was the peak of the disco era and inspite of some thinking that Dusty was being mediocre during the 70s-80s her sound here was far more purer, soulwise, than most of the over processed disco grooves in 1978.
This was REAL Muscle Shoals R'n'B..continuation of "Son Of A Preacher Man"'.
Dusty was great right up until the end of her life and there was some great stuff from the lady in the seventies. it Begins Again was a fine album and just slipped through the racks sadly. Those who bought it though loved it and rightly so.
Great live performance of "A Love Like Yours" from "It Begins Again" which is a solid Dusty classic from the late 70's which would have been huge with airplay...radio programmers were asleep or just plain out of it missing this one...Bravo Dusty!!!
Paying tribute to Motown and her good friend Martha Reeves who did this song for Motown .Dusty sings the hell out of this song. But of course she never has a off day singing(lol).this woman is incredable.i
Like I've said to many others, Dusty wipes out ALL competition there ever was and will be. There's no question about it. No one even comes close. This is for you Dusty.
she is (Here)Hot.I liked her in 1965 and I still dig it.Wish we could keep all the good stuff longer,RIP,John,George, our family. But you tube is fun to have and let's me remember,I still am partly, the same kid I was before I was 55.So Rock on.Live till you die and fight to survive.
What a thrilling performance from It Begins Again which is a Dusty classic that would have been a mega-hit had it received radio exposure...a DVD with these Dusty treats would be a winner!!
It's nice to see that the UK recogized the unique talent that Dusty had and still has via DVD. Thank you so mush for taking the time and caring to post this vid.
Prefer Ike and Tina's version....

Never knew why this wasnt a hit at the time. There was a lot of competition in 1978 though. Some great songs around

It was Kim Weston, tell yer what though, all credit and more to Dusty, she really leaves her mark on this song ,
Just a great shame that she ended up basically performing pantomime with those pair pf pricks the Pet Shop Boys The one Minus Mark : (

God knows I love Dusty Springfield but Tina Turner's version of this song with all the spectorian thing is much better.

Pity the production was so bad. After she went from America she seemed to stop demanding the ambient sound that made her earlier records so good.
