Play 400 Brawls

Beat Adventure Mode then Classic

Go to "The Forest" There will be a door you havent seen. Go in and fight Toon Link! (NOTE! Need to beat SSE for door to show up)

It is easy to tell you weren't actually fighting those 400 brawls because you are terrible... You are trying to fight a fast character with a slow character on the ground when they have the same power... When you use Link you have to exploit his aeriel prowess...

Eh, I was just trying to unlock the characters as fast as I could because I really wanted to get Toon Link, but I ended up not liking him as much as I thought I would. I never was that good with Link anyway...I wasn't that good with 'strategy' until I got more into Brawl, I just button-mashed half the time. I use Lucas now, and I try not to be that 'cheap' with him. Lol.

How I take it..you're wondering if they're seperate games? SSBB is one game. It has events, SSE, and classic. You can unlock characters through Brawl matches or SSE by finding them at certain points in the game.

beat SSE and then go to the forest. proceed past the first battle field until you come across a platform. a new door should've appeared after you beat SSE. it leads to toon link. beat him to unlock him.

WARNING: his AI is fairly better than level 9 computers osf his own, so pack your best character with you, and don't take him lightly.

You may have some trouble due to the new engine in this game. I went back to play Melee with a couple friends a while back, I couldn't hardly play. You fall way to fast in Melee compared to Brawl.

If you watch it closely, you may be able to make it out. I threw a landmine upward and he shielded and it bounced off beside him. Then; later, you can see him making an aerial recovery back onto the ship and he runs right into it.
