@renatokd, in response to your comment on TE not looking at the guitar, the worn down places should be a clue to you that there is no inch to his instrument that is unfamiliar. further, it appears tommy's favorite key to play (in standard tuning) is E. he's in that key alot and knows every postion in his sleep. he's no fake - he just plays - all the time.

They're both good guitars. Why compare a Lamborghini to a Harley Davidson? They both go fast, but you can't compare the two, they are different on a technical level.

Just be happy that two of the best ever guitar companies are still alive and well making world class instruments.

I own a Fender Strat and a Gibson Les Paul, and I couldn't pick a favourite.
