I would recognize this pond anywhere. We have now started are own pond here and have 3 box turtles and 2 water turtles. When we looked up turtle ponds we were shocked to find your video. It's fantastic! Hope to come visit again soon and see it in person.

Dont you have to worry about predators like raccoons,and pussums. Also what about the tortoises falling in the water?

Not ideal for box turtles. They need much more land and alot less water. You should consider building a separate area for them.

i used to have 8 turtles in our turtle pond but we went to the beach one time and they 3 were dead when we came back we have no idea wat happened to them any ideas or suggestions of wat happened to them?

that is a great pond. sorry for the stupid question but do you need to have the water heated, i live in ireland and the weather here can be crap. thinking of getting some of these guys for our pond.

I live in Ireland aswell as long as you introduce the turtle gradualy to the water temp. they should be okay but you would probaly have to bring them in during winter depending on how big the pond is

yeah i know what you mean, it certainly would require a lot more work, and may not even really be worth it. i mean it functions properly and the water still cirsulates. great job!

i think it would definatly be worth it, its just now both of us are working so i think it would be too hard to find the time to do it. I'm really glad u like the pond tho :)

nice. yeah i had the same type of filter in my pond last year, but when i redid it, i changed to a biofilter on the edge. i think your pond is really nice, and i think if you have redo it you should have another waterfall in between the two ponds, so you can have a truly astonishing pond.

yea, me and my dad were thinking about doing tht, but we decided we wanted to get the turtles back into the pond as quickly as we could, and the lip looked nice for half the work, but maybe someday we will go back and put the 2nd waterfall in

really nice pond, it reminds me of mine. except mine only has fish. what type of filtration do you usee? does the water from the waterfall flow into to the main pond, or is that a dam in between the two ponds?

The filter is in the waterfall and hasnt been cleaned in about 6 months so the pond is kinda dirty. The waterfall does flow into the bottom pond it just goes over the "lip" in between the 2.
