Man, I love that guitar. :) Lucia and Cheryl both have amazing voices.
Seriously, why isn't KMFDM more popular in the mainstream? They offer so much variety, something for everyone, regardless of the genre they normally listen to. There's no reason why people shouldn't listen.
@elbryan42 2 million fans is enough to remain underground yet popular, or else we get the "sound system 009 effect", decent music being repeated to death until its as loathed as justin bieber
@elbryan42 You're right, but I think it's just fine the way it is. If KMFDM went ahead and decided to be mainstream, it'd be a pity for the masses.... and the band's name is "No Pity for the Masses", y'know ?
@elbryan42 You're right, but I think it's just fine the way it is. If KMFDM went ahead and decided to be more popular in the mainstream, it'd be a pity for the masses.... and the band's name means "No Pity for the Masses", y'know ?
@elbryan42 just because they don't want everyone to listen, or we would have kmfdm t shirts everywhere, and this song would be the most popular thing of the decade. (would be awesome of course)
@elbryan42 KMFDM has always been a very "D.I.Y." group. I think Sascha likes the idea that people say to themselves; "Oh... I *know* that sound... where have I heard it?" Kinda like Danny Elfman and Oingo Boingo. That KMFDM has survived all this time without totally "selling out" to The Man is proof positive that it *can* be done, and I think the band is pretty proud of that fact... rightly so.
@elbryan42 ^ is why i respect KMFDM more than many other modern bands. To them its all about writing music and performing their music in different variations. NOT about the money (well some), popularity, and music videos based on one single. Hard to find such dedicated musicians today. It would not be KMFDM if they went mainstream, being played on MTV and at high school football games would take away from their message. There is a reason to their madness, or there is no point at all lol.
Heh, the only people that know this song exists are the KMFDM faithful, and I imagine a lot of them don't like it anyway. It actually would resonate better with the pop music crowd than the old school fans I think. Without some kind of exposure this song is gonna fall on few welcoming ears.
@DoYouSeeWhy Not true, I bought this album to check out KMFDM to see if I like them when visiting a music store at the mall. Ashamed to admit it, because it gives the impression I'm some consumerist, Emo who wants to be "different', but it was at Hot-Topic. I mentioned to a friend who worked there I was trying to find more music labeled "Industrial". That's also how I learned about Infected Mushroom beyond the name. Like their shit too. Oh and Mind.In.A.Box.
wow that is the first time i have heard this tune. fucking a great. kmfdm sucks
