@soviet507 There is no "winner". Both story lines have a depressing ending. The surviving members of Col Orlovsky's unit leave Washington while the American unit is almost completely withered away. The final battle is fought between an American armored battalion and whatever Soviet occupation forces were already in Seattle waiting for Chinese reinforcements to arrive. It left it wide open for a sequel.
