If you want to listen to music, for that price you could get a pair of Denon AH-D2000 that has more balanced and articulated bass as well as being able to reproduce the entire frequency spectrum properly. And as an added bonus you would actually have gotten the build quality you'd expect for that kind of money. If you want the best bass in the world, go get Denon AH-D7000.

There's no contest. Sennheiser's ORPHEUS Full Electrostatic Head-Speakers from about 18(?) years ago, which most of you moronic kiddies wouldn't have a clue about, let alone what true audio is. (Google it!) They were something like US$13,000 (?), so even the best and most costly STAX electrostatics headphones don't even come close. Best headphone I've ever seen and auditioned and nothing since has even come close. It even came with its own tube amp which itself shames most home amps.
