I'm sure these two modules are excellent, but when you say "just" these two modules, one should bare in mind that these two are some of the most expensive modules available.
@osomy Did you know that the first computers were made to target missiles? If you live in the so-called First World, you're absolutely complicit in the military-industrial complex, better get used to it.
@thermalmaximum maybe you can elaborate on your point. It has no detail . I would be pleased to try to understand your idea if you can offer some back ground to the claim?
MacBeth using parts from military companies is in bad taste to say the least . If he is indifferent then that is a statement about him, not me. I await reading your reply. Your ,'so called first world' quote needs a reference to its context? cause I disagree with how I 'think' you are using it.
They sound beautiful! Very precise and "high-end" but also with a "full, warm body" as i would describe it. ;) It seems you also builded a cool wooden case for them...Show us your work!
Thanks for posting this demo. Great sounds, really rich and full tone! Are these modules the same as the components in the MacBeth M5 or are they different featurewise and soundwise?
The Kurweil k2000 provides the back strings, there is a standard menu called Shine on on this synth (used of course by the late great Rick Wright)...
The solo that you can see the video of is the MacBeth Dual Osciallator, Backend filter and 3rd oscillator is provided by the Analogue systems rs95e...must be a bit of reverb or echo for the princip, but that is barelly it,...it is really straight to the Macbeth filter...
@Thelazyknobs Well, in fact you do not need much else to sound like this...to be frank appart from the modules and the synth, i m actually using a very cheap cheap delay i paid 40$...brand is artec or something like that, cheap and good...:-) just took a bit of time to tweek the modular to sound close to the trupmet sound of the Shine on intro...Enjoy :-)
