I like going back to this video when I feel like I'm using Scrivener no differently than I would word or even notepad. It's so useful! Also ... Emma and Leon's book ... is that out yet?? Cuz I want to learn how Emma killed that squid with a hairpin .... ;)
I have been recommended this program but I just don't understand what this brings to the table that is new. It seems so unnecessary, like it makes everything so much more complicated and messy. I mean I know not every program will appeal to every person, I just don't really get why it is so popular.
@demonella I'm not really too sure how to reply. Have you ever struggled organising disparate Word files and all the research material required to write a novel or thesis? Scrivener brings a lot that is new and innovative to the table, but I'm sorry that the application does not appeal to you. All the best, David.
I absolutely love this program. I just bought it for Windows. But I noticed a problem that I have with it. Sometimes after boot up, it will not open any of the projects I have been working on. It says they are not compatible with this version. (Version that I created it in only hours before.) I don't know where else to ask. Any help? Thanks!
@misstariana Hello. We have a cornucopia of support options available here on our support webpage (can't post link for some reason!), but specific issues will always be fielded by supportATliteratureandlatteDOTcom. Thank you for your kind Scrivener comment!
After becoming nearly bald from years of tearing out my hair whilst trying to use the demon-possessed, malevolent, non-swear-words can't describe 'software' that is Word, I am really looking forward to trying out Scrivener. Writing is hard enough without the tools one uses having a life of their own. Thank you, Keith, for making available the genius of Mac to people who can't afford Mac hardware (yet). Best wishes from Bring-Me-The-Head-of-Bill-Gates, Wales, UK xx
Now I want to read about Emma Bovary and the giant squid. Thanks for that image. Very excited to try Scrivener for Windows--thank you for making it available.
Keith--outstanding video. If your product, Scrivener for Windows, is as you describe in this meticulously prepared video, you will be a mutimillionaire on this software. Macs 5%, now Windows 95% of all computers. You have just struck solid gold. I am very excited to use your software, and thanks for your attentive video and replies on Nanowrimo forums.

In writing business, it is written probably 85% MAC - 15% PC.
Anyway this is a great software, I use it and it is the best tool for the writer.

@ginopapineau
I seriously doubt that :)
