  • @kiddyunot , funny that u would take it there.

  • @kiddyunot ,no thats not what meant.

  • The reason for her success?

    Attitude!

Dont blame others dont blame men

There's many a racial figure out there who could learn from that message

    WHEN YOU TAKE PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY

    YOU

    CONTROL

    YOUR

    LIFE

  • I love her even more that she is worth 1,6 Billion $

  • Nice vision. Awkward hand motions. So many speakers are overcoached in this area.

  • Elizabeth Warren knocks this cardboard cut out with all her cliques out of the water. Ms Warren for Senate!

  • Great speech about equality for women. But.... there was hardly a black graduate in the crowd. We need to focus on that too. I strongly disagree with Sheryl's statement that the majority of housework/childcare FALLS to women. I believe that many women take it upon THEMSELVES. Far too many women go into relationships with men assuming that they (the women) will have to do everything, and this becomes self-fulfillling. Expect (not demand) more from men in this vein, and so it will be!

  • @yippee1999

law after law gets written to make more black faces appear

    it is what it is

  • LeifEriksson, get out and really talk to women. your biological evolutionary guidelines do seem to explain things nicely but that's the problem with that field. These rules seems so easy that they're applied to every social scenario. Proponents ferociously cling to them even when reality is much more complicated. Women do want to achieve and in many cases, not for the same reasons that men do. Life is more complicated than the survival of the fittest theory would lead you to believe.

  • @freemayo

women want to succeed for different reasons than men??

oh no not the old stereotype being dragged out,,,, again

women dont care about competition or material goods or a good life for the kids??

    is that your message??

  • Men are more motivated than women for simple biological reasons. Most men are fantastically unattractive. But men who can build business empires, are powerful politicians, hilarious comedians, gifted musicians, etc. are rewarded with female sexual access. From an evolutionary standpoint, a woman is wasting her effort to do any of these things men do because women, we naturally find you attractive anyway. It's not discrimination women face, just they lack the biological motivations of men.

  • Sheryl confidently shows her vulnerable, naturally feminine side, and is authentic and powerful. Our energy is different: Women are collaborators, men are competitors. She leads with ALL her strengths. "It is the ultimate luxury to combine passion and contribution...a clear path to happiness." We can be leaders in whatever we choose to be: lead a company, work in a job that fulfills us, or raise your family. The key is to make it our choice, and to "Lean in to your success." Live your joy.

  • @GozzyWozzy

funny how the truth received so many negative votes

PROVING THAT ITS NOT THE TRUTH ( most?many?) PEOPLE ARE AFTER BUT POWER

    good post goozy

  • I'm very inclined to dislike this woman because I hate facebook not just as a website, but as a company. But this was a great speech. Love that quote "we'll never close the achievement gap until we close the ambition gap." I'll definitely be using that one...

  • Just out of curiosity, what's her ethnicity?

  • @breakaway07 I think she's Jewish.

  • What would I do if I weren't afraid?

  • is this a women't college?

  • @gandalf117 yeah

  • there is no try...only the young....Do something, do something different that is what my Mother taught to me. She raise 6 children, myself the one who encouraged he to be my MOM, not my friend" instead of Quitting high school I spent 8 years in the University System in USA. I was born in Chicago. well, we moved alot.. I gratefully encourage you to follow your dreams not some one who is going to tread on them.

    Thank You! doug

  • Great Speech: BARNYARD UNIVERSITY ALL THE WAY

  • Great Vision! How to we make it come true? How about a couple of practical measures?

    1. Let our daughters know that cheerleaders don't make leaders. Encourage them to PLAY sports.

    2. Ask our corporations to have Family Support department to free up employees from mundane tasks. Would Facebook lead the way?

  • Videos that inspiring people, she's Sheryl Sandberg. i like this ,“This world needs you to run it” .

  • Love this! She's awesome and inspiring. I love her point that women make small decisions along the way to put their career second. Of course, we should each follow our hearts, but Sandberg points out that we are making choices early on, before we even realize it, to marginalize ourselves and let our work take a backseat.

  • I am inspired in a sense, but there is no such thing as equality in the world of men and women. Women and Men have different goals...as they should. God has made us with awesome differences that at the end of the day, It balances the world, The home, and the business world. A women can be as good as a business person as a man. But we are wired differently ..It is what it is! I am a business woman and I have different roles as my husband. I am thankful for that.

  • @ewingful Equality doesn't mean we all do the same thing - it means we all have the equal opportunity to pursue a life that is right for us as individuals. I also have different roles than my husband, but they are defined by who we are as people, not by our genders.

  • Too bad I still can't understand talked english

  • Apply to man too :)
