spell strength depends not only what it is, but the strength of the caster, at this time she could still be said to be getting the hang of the Ragna Blade. Also the spear he had was one that used the power of the dark lord Dark Star, so not exactly a lacking weapon its self.

I've actually just recently begun to watch Try, and I don't know too much about the Overworld, though I did get a couple episodes past where this is from. It would seem the only thing that can truly harm one of Dark Star's weapons is another one of Dark Star's weapons? That's kinda what I gathered, at least.

A dark star weapon is not just an energized weapon. You saw it's real capabilities when Gourry got possessed by Hellmaster in Next. It can absorb a dragon slave. How can you expect Lina, who can only sustain the Ragna blade for only a short period of time, to cut through something like that? if the power was used by lord of nightmares herself, then it should be much deadlier.

@chopinandliszt the lord of nightmares is not a "she" it is an "IT" they make L sama to be god a divine being that has no gender since it does not need one and the spell rips apart space time
