  • @polymath7 Hahaha

  • Pretty mixed audience indeed.

  • Chomsky is giving the press and awfully hard time here. Bloody good job, too.

  • God I love Adam Smith... and Chomsky

  • @Bellantoni Which one's Adam Smith?

  • @stoprainingonme Adam smith is an political theorist from the enlightenment period who wrote the infamous book The Wealth of Nations.

  • @MyMelancholyDodo Cheers

  • Chomsky rocked it

  • Globalization has never been successful and will continually meet tooth-and-nail resistance, because BANKERS are implementing a fascist mass murder looting scheme by deception & repression or by brute force. For example, since the end of the 1950s the income of American labor has dropped to 1/3.

Inflation & Debt is CAUSED BY BANKERS, to PLUNDER THE WEALTH OF NATIONS. BANKERS ARE CRIMINALS. ARREST ALL BANKERS. DECLARE WAR ON BANKERS.

  • Go Chomsky!!

    Fuckin Legend.

  • I just love this man (Chomsky) !!!

    may ALLAH Bless him

  • Noam is an atheist, so I don't think 'allah' would bless him.

  • No, he'd send him to hell I guess. ROFL! Once a Muslim asked him in a question in a meeting if he'd convert to Islam. He replied it doesn't matter if I do or not, or something.

  • @Lunis well he still alive, he still can become muslim

  • noam "jordan" chomsky

    in your face

  • Chomsky's criticism of the western media is so right... I really feel lost and in the shadows about the state of the world. Can someone tell me where I could find some good coverage on these issues?

  • I think for actual news channels Democracynow! and The Real News are pretty good. For some background and history I think Chomsky his books are very good. Would reccomend some of the books he has actually written(not transcripted interviews), Deterring Democracy, Manufacturing Consent and Hegemony or Survival. For some less abstract history, I'd suggest Howard Zinn's People's History of the United States.

  • Thank you for you recommendation, I'm currently searching for howard zinn's book, after reading some reviews. Regards,

    -Crow512

  • yeah, znet is an awesome site. sounds like it might be exactly what you're looking for...

  • zcommunications (dot) org is a great website. Chomsky contributes to the magazine regularly (z mag) and if you become a sustainer of the website you can even get on the forum and ask him questions. Michael Albert (who runs the site) is awesome too. Was a student at MIT during the 60's, befriended Chomsky, became radical and came up with an amazing economic model called Participatory Economics. Look up "life after capitalism - parecon" and click on the zmag site to read a free book about it!

  • You found this, just keep on the track your on right now. :)

  • Chomsky is absolutely brilliant, while he makes me realise how completely horrifying the state of international politics is, he gives so much hope for the possibilities of the future. Evans is an extremely questionable architect and spokesperson for a supposedly "humanitarian" norm-he did deals with Suharto (most genocidal dictator since Pol Pot) denying East Timorese access to their sovereign oil and gas resources, leading to greater conflict, poverty, suffering and death continuing to this day

  • chomsky rules

  • Kent -- I just reached the part (6:07) you refer to. Fucking-A right, man.

  • Great to watch Chomsky clear-cut through the bullshit. As always.

  • Yes... For such a monotonous, soft spoken, polite man, I've never seen such momentum behind a voice. There is just no stopping it.

  • were you sunny an naively optimistic on East Timor?
