The album charts the start of the Space Race with Sputnik 1957, Yuri Gagarin's first human space flight, John Glenn's Triple Orbit, Ed White's Gemini IV Space Walk, then onto Apollo.

@wildboy789789 Obama canceled the constellation project and scrapped the already well developed Ares launch vehicles, the Orion crew modules, and the Altair lunar lander. Even Richard C. Hoagland (who was thrilled early on with Obama's perceived direction for NASA) recently said Bush was a bigger proponent for NASA and Space exploration than Obama is turning out to be.

This wasn't a Saturn V, it was a Saturn 1B -or "Uprated Saturn". And the booster had nothing to do with the accident. Shortly after Apollo 1, Vladimir Komorov was killed upon re-entry and later 3 other cosmonauts were were killed in their Salyut (Earth orbital mission) upon re-entry. I still have not heard if they lost anyone in their launch accident when their booster exploded (they ejected) but even if they did, our losses on both shuttles + Apollo 1exceed the Russians.
No, the Apollo 1 rocket was a Saturn 1B. The Saturn V did not fly until Apollo 4. The Saturn V had a 100% clean service record. Too bad that NASA lost the plans :(
I've been collecting NASA info for 40 years, but in several documentaries, archival footage of other missions has been used in place of non-existent footage. I think this is where some confusion comes from.
In Lovell's own words, the Apollo 13 explosion was caused by a 28VDC thermostat in the SM LOX tank being damaged by KSC's 65VDC during a de-tanking procedure after the tank was accidentally dropped. The Saturn V certainly was not at fault.
Well, no Apollo 13's SM exploded leaving the CM only for re-entry. And the SM only for protecting the CM's heat shield, and the LM as a "life boat". The reason it exploded, is because when the intense heat of compression mealted the wire insulation, (in O2 tank 2) and during a routine test in space; the sencond O2 tank exploded it damaged 3 fuel cells and sent the other leaking to the point where it couldnt be isolated plus it blew the panned off fuck congress for not leting us go to it again
True too. Due to limited space, I couldn't explain fully. Because the thermostat was only compatible with 28VDC (and not 65VDC) it was welded shut using KSC's power when they activated the tank heater system on the ground to purge the 02 (instead of the normal de-tanking process) after the tank was dropped. The high voltage thus damaged the heater wiring. Heated LOX = expansion, too.

this tragedy is revolting, stupid, absurd! these men died so tragically because of the stupidity and imcopetencia A few more of NASA technicians in época.Eles should never be forgotten, are heroes, martyrs! If they had died tragically in space even though it would be more acceptable, but in a test platform, is unacceptable! And the families? someone thought of the suffering now? I wonder how they are today and say the world will never forget the courage of these men! stay with god!

I will never forget the day this happened.
I was a kid, but my dream was to be an astronaut.
This tragedy ended that dream.
I still think about Apollo 1 and those heroes.

@wildboy789789 Obama canceled the constellation project and scrapped the already well developed Ares launch vehicles, the Orion crew modules, and the Altair lunar lander. Even Richard C. Hoagland (who was thrilled early on with Obama's perceived direction for NASA) recently said Bush was a bigger proponent for NASA and Space exploration than Obama is turning out to be.

This wasn't a Saturn V, it was a Saturn 1B -or "Uprated Saturn". And the booster had nothing to do with the accident. Shortly after Apollo 1, Vladimir Komorov was killed upon re-entry and later 3 other cosmonauts were were killed in their Salyut (Earth orbital mission) upon re-entry. I still have not heard if they lost anyone in their launch accident when their booster exploded (they ejected) but even if they did, our losses on both shuttles + Apollo 1exceed the Russians.

No, the Apollo 1 rocket was a Saturn 1B. The Saturn V did not fly until Apollo 4. The Saturn V had a 100% clean service record. Too bad that NASA lost the plans :(

I've been collecting NASA info for 40 years, but in several documentaries, archival footage of other missions has been used in place of non-existent footage. I think this is where some confusion comes from.
In Lovell's own words, the Apollo 13 explosion was caused by a 28VDC thermostat in the SM LOX tank being damaged by KSC's 65VDC during a de-tanking procedure after the tank was accidentally dropped. The Saturn V certainly was not at fault.

Well, no Apollo 13's SM exploded leaving the CM only for re-entry. And the SM only for protecting the CM's heat shield, and the LM as a "life boat". The reason it exploded, is because when the intense heat of compression mealted the wire insulation, (in O2 tank 2) and during a routine test in space; the sencond O2 tank exploded it damaged 3 fuel cells and sent the other leaking to the point where it couldnt be isolated plus it blew the panned off fuck congress for not leting us go to it again

True too. Due to limited space, I couldn't explain fully. Because the thermostat was only compatible with 28VDC (and not 65VDC) it was welded shut using KSC's power when they activated the tank heater system on the ground to purge the 02 (instead of the normal de-tanking process) after the tank was dropped. The high voltage thus damaged the heater wiring. Heated LOX = expansion, too.

It cannot be consented that the spacecraft that is the mass of the high technology doesn't have. It and the commercial aircraft cabin should also have the emergency evacuation system.

You know, two things. First off, Cosmored can shut the fuck up, because it seems very odd to me that considering the claims of how much of a "conspiracy" it all is they would kill their own astronauts. You'd think if it was fake everyone would be kept alive, not ruin their own credibility by having a lethal accident.
2) Does it strike anyone else that a hatch opening inward may be a bad idea considering the limited space inside?
