  • i can see theres a line for him to follow but its still fkn awesome!

  • That was wicked!

  • Who did the illustrations in this version? They're really good even if it is all time-lapse.

  • This is Awsome! (I am such a nerd!)

    Sub ME!

  • This is cool. Cat monkey human lol!!

  • I love this song :) and the show of course!!

  • @dakineguy99 thanks, its sounds like leneard and sheldon to me ???

  • Who is it singing???? I love The show!!!!

  • @Kathythezombiekiller - Barenaked Ladies is the band that plays this

  • The Barenaked Ladies.

  • Well, I think it is a possibility that the Big Crunch would happen, but If that happened, time would reverse and everything would repeat. I think that would create a forever and ever deal. Love the song and the show!

  • This isn't like a big debate

    about how the world began,

just enjoy the songg . ^_^

  • The "Big Crunch" is no longer widely accepted amongst astrophysicists. Current observations would suggest that the expansion of the universe is not slowing but accelerating. The existence of dark energy and dark matter is hypothesized to be the culprit behind this acceleration.

  • 1:01 from here on it's pretty easy to see through the paper and see the lines the hand is about to trace :)

  • I didn't notice it until you pointed it out. Nice catch.

  • @takineko That's still mighty impressive ... tracing!

  • also at :53

  • Great video... Love the show ...

  • that was awesome

  • why cant you just enjoy the song?? its funny.

  • the big bang theory rocks

  • screw religion.

  • I love this song

  • Sorry religious folk, the Big Bang Theory is very well established and has been confirmed through many lines of independent research. Accept it or not , it is how the universe and everything in it began.

  • A person can accept the fact that The Big Bang is the cosmological model of the initial conditions and subsequent development of the universe that is supported by the most comprehensive and accurate explanations from current scientific evidence and observation as well as be religious. In fact, it could be the entire basis of a religion. You wrote this comment assuming that all religions disagree with the Big Bang theory, but you failed to realize that America (continued in next comment)

  • A religion is the worship of a supernatural divine superbeing, and there is nothing anywhere in the big bang theory that makes reference to such a being, and not a single living human considers himself a member of any "big bang church."

  • You are incorrect in your definition of 'religion'. It is the strong belief in supernatural powers or power, not a being. For all we know, the big bang theory is/ is not true, it could be considered a supernatural power that created the universe. Therefore, it is possible to create a religion off of it. And for all you know, there could be a 'big bang church'. Why do you use the word 'himself', if there is such a church, you do not know the sex of the members.

  • If something exists it is simply natural, no matter how fantastic it is. Supernatural, by definition, exists outside reality and can therefore have no effect on the universe. The big bang was a natural event operating within the known physical laws of our universe, it is understandable and was in no way supernatural; it is therefore not suitable for the basis of any religion.

  • We do not know if the big bang happened or not, therfore, it is sutible for the basis of a religion. Supernatural things do have an effect on our world, it dose exist within reality. You are talking about the big bang with such confidence, it has yet to proven.

  • I'm not accusing you of being lazy, but did you read what i wrote below? That the Big Bang happened is not in dispute, it is a fact. There is nothing you nor anyone else can do to hand wave it away, it happened, it left vast amounts of evidence. It is a fact. RE: the supernatural, as I said before if it exists and can have an effect on the universe then it is by definition natural. There is no such thing as "outside the universe".

  • I'm not accusing you of being lazy, but did you read what I wrote? It is debatable whether the big bang theory actually happened or not. It is a theory, not a fact. It is called the Big Bang THEORY, not the Big Bang Fact.

RE: It is also debatable whether the supernatural can have an effect on our world. That is why religion exists, because the supernatural dose have an effect on our world.

  • I've tried to be patient, but it's obvious you obviously don't understand what a theory or a fact are and have no interest in learning. So to paraphrase Barney Frank; arguing with you is like arguing with a kitchen table, and I have no intention of doing so.

  • Comment removed

  • Well, I've tried to be patient as well, but you obviously don't understand that a theory is not a fact. Can you say with absolute certainty that the big bang actually occurred? (rhetorical question) The answer is no, you cannot, because it is NOT a fact, it is a THEORY. Why do you think it is called the Big Bang THEORY, and not the Big Bang FACT?!?!

  • A theory is "1 : the analysis of a set of facts in their relation to one another"

There are a huge amount a facts that point to it.

You cant say anything is for certain, we can say that the greeks didnt exist and u weren't there to prove me wrong but there are example and records that show that they were

  • You are correct, we cannot say anything for certain, however, we are more sure of the greeks being alive then the Big Bang Theory. Also, the Greeks are still alive, there are people currently living in Greece. By the way, didn't is spelled with an apostrophe.

  • but how can that be when in the begining the universe was infact not real at all until something we don't know made it become raelity. granted you are working on the basis of the laws of physiscs but it is also always important to know and note on what makes that law possible, thus saying that the "big bang" might have been another way of saying "let there be light". it's just something i wanted to add and hope no one else makes this into a crazy debate. i'd like to hear what you think :)

  • It helps if you don't think of the big bang as an explosion that happened in empty space, but as an "explosion" if you will of space itself. Asking what came before t=0 is a meaningless question. Also attributing the universe's creation to something outside it is also logically impossible as there is no outside the universe in any meaningful sense.

  • but don't physisists believe in a universe outside our own "multi-universe", which would mean there could be something out side which would be called a second universe, and whats stoping brillient scientists in deducting or theorising that it could well be heaven or hell; when most scientists agree on a posibillity on a universe parralel or contrary to ours, there could be a posibility of a universe as an after life. like to hear what you think, thank you :)

  • Some physicists do think the evidence supports a many worlds model including a multiverse. However these are not supernatural realms, nor any kind of afterlife, they are real physical universes. More importantly though they are unreachable from our universe; you simply can't get there form here.

  • what about the theory of worm holes and light speed travel that is said that could make such travel possible? but obviously that would take at least a centurey to create or harness like benjamin franklin with lightning then edison with the light bulb. plus there have been times in human history that great minds were wrong in there theories when proven wrong, there could alwayes be possibilities. thank you :)

  • Well worm holes, if it were possible to travel through them, would not take you outside the universe since they are after all warping of space which is a subset of the universe.

Regarding fallibility, I'll grant that as humans we are prone to believing in irrational things, but the beauty of the scientific method is that in the end it strips bias away and leaves only what can be objectively confirmed.

  • If you really want an explanation, read "God: The Failed Hypothesis." Brilliant book.

  • Actually, the big bang is both a theory and a fact. A fact is something we observe in the world, and a theory is our best explanation for it. The fact of gravity is that things fall, and our theory of gravity began with Newton and was later replaced by Einstein's improved theory. The current state of our theory to explain gravity does not affect the fact that things fall, just as our explanation about why and how the big bang happened does not affect the fact that it did happen/

  • A theory is not a fact, it is an educated guess supported by experiments, evidence, etc. We did not observe the bib bang theory, we observed the aftermath.

  • I wish this was the video for the theme next season! That'd be so totally awesome!

  • i love this show even though the actual big bang theory is a load of crap

  • All I have to say is this:: The show really isn't about this and it kind of drives me nuts that the title and the opener has to be something so controversial. In fact it's really hard to get people to watch this show once they hear the title. Seriously.

  • This is best show ever made..AWESOME VIDEO

  • cool, more to the song. and the big bang theory is all science. you can believe what you want. but i believe in this, it makes much more sense than some 'god in the sky'. yeah. >.> whatever.

the song is awesome, i think they should have this version on the show [:

  • dudeee wicked awesome!!!

  • Ok so what does the Big Bang have to do with religion?

  • Without the Big Bang Theory (if you wish to believe in it) people wouldn't be here. Without people, religion wouldn't be here, THUS everything is intertwined with the original concept of the Big Bang.

  • I believe it, so it doesn't say anything for me. I'm sayin Big Bang and religion are intertwined.

  • Mmmkay!

  • Well, see, the problem there is that we could be here without the Big Bang. Religion, people, and the Big Bang aren't necessarily intertwined.

It matters not the methods, it matter that it just is.

  • nothing. it is the complete opposite of religion. religious people believe that god made everything. the big bang is a theory in which scientists believe there was a mass explosion in our galaxy and it created the eight planets. FYI-PLUTO IS NOT A PLANET. the big bang is a theory as i mentioned before and there are many others but i am a christian and i believe god made everything. i hope this was helpful.

  • The Big Bang Theory also conflicts with science. It says that nothing created everything which can't happen unless God made it happen.

  • thats true. but scientist have been able to create something out of nothing. they do it by smashing two atoms or neutrons together to form a form of matter. it is not completely settled and is still be experimented with. i know god created everything because i am a christian. but science is making a lot of accomplishments.

  • No sorry. Scientists have yet to create matter from no matter. Its something that would defy their laws of physics. The only way this universe can be made by the big bang is God.

  • thats the point of science. they are trying to do the impossible and extend the laws of gravity.

  • Gravity has nothing to do with creating something from nothing. They maybe trying it, but until they do it, its still impossible.

  • sorry i meant physics

  • This could also be used as the theme vid for every episode, or even a collab of episodes past, BAM!!!

  • that. was. amazing.
