@TheGarfieldxx30000 I seen it in a deleted scene. Their mom went into Sam's party and cops had shown up. I think the mom thought they thought Ginger and Bridgette had killed Trina (was an accident). They had been looking for Jason over that kid he attacked. She had that plastic container with Trina's fingers in them and gave it to the police. She lied to them, told them she killed Trina, and made herself look insane. So she took the rap for it. I don't know about the dad though.

@teta14 Agreed. That scene changed my whole opinion about her. Before seeing it I had just dismissed her as kind of annoying. But she didn't care that she didn't get the perfect girls that she wanted. They were hers and she loved them - and that was enough. I kind of wish they would have kept it in the movie, just for the added depth it brought, and that it tied up some more loose ends.

Bridgette didn't just become pretty, shes always been pretty. There are just a lot of contributing factors to you just noticing:

1. Ginger was prettier and was always around Bridgette, so when you compare the two it makes it seem like Bridgette is ugly

2. Now that shes going throught the transformation, shes acting like Ginger in the first film and stripping away some of the gothic layers and shyness

3. Its several years later, so she grew up.

But Emily Perkins has always been pretty.
