  • 8:40 good morning grandfather how do u do...hehehe

  • im 16 and this is my fav universal movies :)

  • @dexterclarky Her hysterical crying is MUCH FUKIN WORSE!

  • If only Universal made a Headless Horseman movie...

  • Mindenkit szeretettel várok Lugosi Béci bá és a horror klasszikusok honlapján: a lugosibela.gportal.hu oldalon.

  • this would be a great movie.. without that terrible woman's voice! christ i have never heard anything so annoying!

  • @lekkermary God, I've never felt such a strong urge to punch a woman in my entire life.

    GODDFFKKTCHHHHHUUA AHHHH

  • @lekkermary I think that was their intention in the first place. lol

  • @lekkermary i think she was in "bride of frankenstein" too and she was screaming just as much there you should hear my dads reaction when we were watching "bride of frankenstein" XD

  • "I'm afraid I need this bicycle."

"How's that for a hairbrush, George Henry?"

"Good morning Grandfather. HOW DO YOU DO? HAHA!"

    LMAO classic

  • great movie, but there is the ever crazy Una, who shrieks, and looks more possessed than Claude Rains-If ever there should be a Diva, forget Diana and Cher-lets go for Una, Una Una Una!

  • will someone please post "the invisible man's revenge" ?

  • @ceaserdd I believe you mean "The Invisible Man Returns".

  • If I had a landlady with that kinda voice... I'd be kinda cranky too. >.<

  • If they were going to do a remake like they did with the Wolf Man, I'd pick Hugo Weaving from V for Vendettia.

  • @Vampwatch1462 or Daniel Radcliffe from HARRY POTTER. Speaking of which, Radcliffe should portray late legendary actor Claude Rains.

  • @WizardOfHumor1989 No he shouldn't.

  • 5:30-6:00.....this was scary shocking theater back in the day. With the science fiction storyline being fresh & all, also folks not being used to theatrical special effects like we are today, looking at it with a person from the 1930's eyes & you got your monies (pennies or a nickel?????) worth when you went to the theater that day.

  • What a hoot....I remember her screeching when I first saw this-

    for the first time.....

  • Horror novel see video book trailer

  • This is indeed one of the finest movies of the period, but what really makes it for me is Irish Actress Una O'Connor as the screeching wife of the owner of the Inn.

What a character, esp. when she looks at her husband and screams...

  • Who do you think is better? Hawley Griffin or Rodney Skinner?

  • 7:54 "Hey look out!" best deadpan delivery :)

  • Gloria Stuart in this flim the same actress who played the old lady in titanic.

  • @MsFanmail how dare you belittle Floria from this film you fool, Gloria Stuart was more than just "the old lady in titanic" as you call her, she was a well respected actress on stage, screen and Broadway before she "retired" for 60 years before her comeback academy Award nominated performance as the modern era Rose Dawson, 101 years old and sharper than you. Thats who Gloria Stuart was and she just died recently and long after you are dust she will be remembered.

  • Brillant flim I

    Got it on dvd

  • the cop is win

  • AWESOME MOVIE = )

  • loved the book, love the movie

  • perfect visual effects for those times!!!!!!!!

  • Have always loved this movie made in 1933. Claude Rains was fantastique from his voice, rolling Rrrs's and love that laugh. Great special effects for a movie 77 years old. Bicycle riding by its self with pedals moving is great! Very good camera angles too-shooting up to make the Invisible Man look huge & down shots on staircase. Where's the next scene?

  • i like the maniac laugh.

  • Trivia time! That old lady that screams alot was also in Werewolf of London, one of my favourite- if one of the lesser known- Universal monster movies.

  • i hate that lady so much, over acting much? yea stfu

  • I think I'll throttle youuuuu.

    hahahahahaha

  • gloria stuart, who's in this film and in titanic, turned 100 last july 4th

  • i love this book real talk, deff recommend.

  • ide give that lady an invisible bitch slap if i was jack

  • wow! so funny, i love it!!

  • "How's that for a hairbrush George henry?" LOL

  • the stupid bitch is screamin "Aaaaoooooh he's dead!" and cryin' and his dumbass is gettin' up off the floor lol XD

  • lol

  • @slipknotdisturbed131 how can i handcuff a bloomin' shirt? lol XD

  • I only found out recently that the actress Gloria Stuart who appeared in this film from 1933 was the same woman who played Rose DeWitt Bukater as an old lady in Titanic.

Had to double check at first because so many years had passed, but it was just possible to tell that facially it was the same person.

Two roles 64 years apart- amazing.

  • Great Movie !!!

  • i like the way the invisilbe man talks...he a kind of accent

  • That little Jew lady keeps screaming all funny like. Lol.

AND The laugh " Ooo hahah heeeheee ooohhhh hooo hooo"

  • that mrs.hall worse than a banshee

  • Una O'Conner nearly sinks this movie. Whiny, screaming old hag.

  • if i was the invisible man i'de give that woman an invisible pimp slap !

  • I'm sorry but that lady is crazy.

  • the wife is the original bitch

  • he sounds like mark hamills joker, amazing.

  • i'm 25 and i looooove these old horror films,i even love all black and white films all the way down to the silent films, people tell me that i'm a old soul in a young body and that they don't understand me.

  • @eloiseful Dude I'm 17 and I LOVE everything from them good old days of Hollywood.

  • @eloiseful

27 years old, loooove old movies ^^

  • claude rains voice rules

  • does anyone know what it's rated?

  • It's not rated. They didn't have ratings back then (1933).

If made today it'd be at least PG-13; he mentions rape among other things.

  • thanks!

  • @hypnodance

here in the UK, the dvd is rated age 12.

  • This is very similar to the book, I've read some of it.

  • A long-time favorite- thanks for the post!!

  • Una O'Conner is a riot and a great addition to this film. She was actually a fine actress.

  • an absolut classic!

  • No Underwear?! D: But heck I love that laugh :D

  • she needs shooting the shrieking witch

  • She's hilarious!

  • That woman makes the funniest noises when she shrieks and sobs, and Claude Rains has a funny laugh.

  • good clip. I enjoyed it

  • Can some plz tell me what were jennys lines after she say hes in the sitting room at 4:01 I cant seem to understand what she is saying. Thanks

  • damn man cool special effects

  • Country bumpkins. LOL

  • 5:09

    best part

  • excellent film

  • that was pretty good effects for a movie that old

  • This is a great movie its really old but I still like it!

  • must be cool to be invisible

  • Fuck, I love he's voice!

And the way he taunt the people. And, holy shit, the way he beats that guy and throw him down stairs! ahahahahahahahaha xD

  • the best

  • I LOVE HIS LAUGH!

  • best movie eva lol

  • great movie classic

  • was that really claude rains maniacal laughter?!!!

  • "Put the handcuffs on him!"

"How can I handcuff a blooming shirt?!" xD

  • That mad laugh is superb! It's not my favorite (I'd say that was Mark Hamill as The Joker) but it's one of them if not the second. The voice is great too.

  • It's not the most famous of the Universal films, but I really think it's one of the best. Claude Rains was brilliant invisible and in form. Admittedly you can see the form of the actor at times, but that's not to say it isn't a marvelous technique. It really shows how well a movie can do without CGI. Back then you had to be much more creative. And CLaude Rains makes it perfect!

  • Those are good special effects!

  • 1930s had great stuff. King Kong Marx Brothers. And These spectacular Horror Films

  • silly fools can't he told them

  • The invisible man in Abbott & Costello's

    film didn't wear underpants either.

  • Notice how women, who were in their fifties,

    acted elderly in the 1930's?

  • For a film from 1933, the special effects are phenomenal!!!

  • Claude Rains is so sexy

And he's so cute when he gets mad :) <3

  • LOL! the legendary una o'connor (the innkeeper's wife) was funny as hell and she was hilarilous in the bride of frankenstein as well.

  • hmm..great acting xD

  • I love how the Innkeeper is lying at the bottom of the stairs and he tells his wife, 'Shut up!'. LOL

  • the invisible man is sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Happy 75th Anniversary!!!

  • This is my fav. b/w monster movie of all time!!!

  • This was my favorite movie when I was 9... and it still is to this day (along with Night of the Living Dead and the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre).

  • yes thats waht i think too.the 1930-1985 horror movies are the best

  • Claude Rains = GOD!

  • "Good morning grandfather. How do you do?" xD
