  • @natmanprime not as simple as that. I spent a 1/2 year watching my diet and was doing nothing but gaining weight. Even a few months with a trainer and eating small meals every 3 hours to keep the metabolism up didn't do it. It wasn't until I got a trainer who was specific about the amount of proteins, carbs, and fats that I started losing weight, and even then, much slower than others. it also helped to allow myself to eat more - if you eat too little, your body holds onto fat more.

  • There are three somatotypes:

    Mesomorph - naturally muscular

    Ectomorph - naturally skinny

    Endomorph - naturally fat

    Theres pretty much fuck all you can do to change that

  • @JWBails if it's fixed how come the fatty population is increasing? never used to be fuckloads of fatties, tv dinners were invented, now there's millions. Somatotypes my arse.

  • @OktoberSunset Well you can always eat more food and do less excercise (to change from meso to endo, but if would be easier to change back because your genes are naturally mesomorphic

  • @JWBails ok, so, if we look at the number of fatties at the turn of the century, and the number of fatties now, we know that the fat bastard gene must be the same prevalence, so we can conclude that well over 90% of fatties now are not genetically this way, they are just greedy cunts who eat too much.

  • @OktoberSunset fast food is a lifestyle people learn early on nowadays, so it's not about being "greedy", it's about eating right. as more jobs become more computer-related and sedentary, people are also less active. you're claiming that the increase in fatties is actually an increase in greed? really? what would cause such a huge increase in - well, the better word would be - gluttony?

  • @JWBails Those are archaic, catagorisations with no basis in modern science, nutrition or physiology. They are certainly never entertained or discussed in human genetics. The terms were coined by a psychologist in the 1950's who was operating well outside his field of knowledge.

  • @JWBails Have you possibly noticed that the "naturally muscular" people tend to be athletic? Or how about how about "naturally skinny" people tend not to eat greasy fatty foods then sit on their ass for the day? Or maybe that "naturally fat" people don't get a whole lot of exercise regularly?

    There's a lot you can do to change any of those things.

  • @Preeemo right now late at night i'm eating a large greasy pizza. For breakfast I had a large greasy full English breakfast, with a cider, to try and get over the hangover from last night's booze and dodgy chicken at 3am. Its not exactly routine...but its not out of character either. I've weighed ten to ten-and a half stone for the past decade.

  • @MyNameIsAnus nah in fairness you can see his point though, yeah some people myself included couldnt put weight on if we tried (i have in fact :) ) but it is true that fat people do tend to do fuck all, orr go on about how much they do like goign for a 30 minute run and then you see them do it and they run for about 2 minutes and then stretch for about 28

  • Thats basically the secret to dieting: eat less, do more physically, simple.

    None of this "half of this, quarter of that, bulk up on that" nonsense.

  • @PrinceVice Some people, like myself, are just naturally...meant to be fat. LoL. I could work out for ages and lose some weight, then treat myself once and half of it would return. It's a person's metabolism that effects their weight.

  • not only that, there's 3 different types of body structure. Some are naturally slim and never put weight on, some are natural bodybuilders, and can build muscle and recover in no time, and then there's people who are naturally fat.
