  • Great , magic , fantastic ,......awesome music

  • Excuse me I'm from Pa. and a diehard Penn State fan and even I know Gainesville is "Gatorville"!

  • Its from Gainesville Florida not Gatorville. I was there ..

  • Tom Petty is so great. Every thing he does is great... He took this Van Morrison song and breathed new life into it.. He brought it.

  • LOVE HIS SHOWS!!

  • It takes cajones to cover one of Van Morrison's most raw, stripped down songs, improvise through most of it, and rock the shit out of it. It's beautiful. Bravo!

  • It`s not only rock`n roll - it is sheer magic

  • To belittle an artist of his stature because of the inevitability of age -- when he rocks so freaking hard each show is bizarre to me.

  • I've seen them do this song twice live. Amazing both times. Thanks for posting this great piece of American History.

  • his voice never changes. i love him and the band! who's going to see them next week at the izod center?

  • Tom played this at Red Rocks this week. I was so happy cause I heard it for the first time off his new box concert set and thought it was one of the best songs ever. Hopefully he will make this a staple for the tour and beyond!!

  • Incredible.

  • Is it wrong for a YouTube clip to make you so damn happy? I love this video!

  • Benmont is indeed great, but if you listen closely, he hits a clunker.

  • @truculantmuse right at 4:33/4:34, right? lol

  • Mystic Eyes- to see this live IS magical !!! Petty can captivate you and take you to a special place...

  • ""play the piano play the piano" and fuck did he ever. Benmont rocks

  • He takes this song to the nxt lvl

  • just for one moment..everything would be alright.. Love that man Love that band!!!

  • A friend of mine told me he prefered tom petty when he was "in his prime" , which i think is stupid for tom petty will always be in his prime, i mean cmon look at him live hes still and always will "have it". TOM PETTY LIVE AND ROCK ON FOREVER!!!

  • I see the surviving heroes of my time begin to slide.

Soon the Rock experience of the 60's and 70's will join everything else and become history.

I search for the real thing and am reeling from 30 years of schlock, Where is the greatness?

Now that new and trendy has replaced greatness.

The fan or consumer just wants new, and will accept crap temporarily. Then new similar crap can replace it on their iPod, so no harm done, right?

    Raise your standards!

    Heartbreakers are the REAL THING!

    CHAZZ

  • I am also 59 and also was in the pro end of R&R .

What This band does is "Bring The SHOW"

They embody all the most significant factors that make a Rock Concert such a compelling and magic experience.

I was a tough convert. Fortunately I had the wisdom to listen to my woman and pay better attention.

I find this to be the best Rock experience I can depend on.

Every show delivers with EVERY SINGLE NOTE THEY PLAY!

    Missed the classic rock era?

This is the real thing. True showmanship.

  • tom petty is a pimp

  • No one can hold a crowd in his palm like Tom! I've seen him a half dozen times and he's magic!

  • YEAH.

a song from 1965, with only two chords, but such a power. and with a great wish in the middle "just for one moment"

I love Tom and I love Van
