I own the DVD. You simply can't watch the whole rape scene. You can watch and listen for a minute or so at best but the screaming and the violence being perpetrated is so awful that you have to look away if not stop the disc. The rape scene IS THAT horrifically realistic.

Most persons that I've told about the film flat out refuse to watch it when I offer to let them borrow it or watch I tell them the movie is actually life affirming and if you were to watch it you would understand.
