If BYU wants that kind of unfair authoritarian control, let them do it without tax money or tithing money taken from the struggling poor. Let BYU stand up on it's own. Then they can teach Brigham Young's teachings more fully including death for interacial marriage, blood atonment, poligamy and institutionalized racism.
I really thought Chad made a good case. A technicality seemed to get him and they seem to be within their legal means to withold his degree. I didn't like how the Dean was spinning the questions, but I understand he has his job to consider. Also, there is no doubt that it's obvious Chad was being difficult and not helping his case whatsoever. I don't believe they would have given him his degree if he had "passed" the Dean's interview anyways...

Yeah, just admit it. Your goofy dumb-ass just got pissed when BYU refused to give you your Diploma over breaking the rules, and now your on some stupid crazy "revenge" crusade to "get them back". BYU 10, you 0, bro. How about whatever education you did get out of the University and get a life now?
He did know his actions were against BYU standards. He conducted himself in this interview as a hard-ass, so the results were not surprising at all. Don't go to a private school if you can't abide by their standards, simple as that.
Thank you! I completely agree! If he would have stopped acting like a stubborn child and just answered their questions they would have probably made an exception too.
What a joke, Chad hardy knew full well what he was involved in was against the stadards of the LDS church and its University. Why didn't Chad Hardy discuss his actions with the church before he did what he knew was against the LDS churches standards. In that way Chad Hardy acted dishonestly.
I thought that a certain law stated that a religion (INCLUDING MORMON) couldn't deny a student at a school his diploma, AS LONG AS HE/SHE GETS THE REQUIRED AMMOUNT OF CREDITS!
This story would make a great documentary. Are you listenting HBO or Showtime?

This is really pathetic! My girlfriend, three sisters, and two cousins were molested by their grandfather, a High Mormon Priest.
When her family brought it to the Church's attention, and asked them to ex-communicate him via his full confession, they refused.
Tell me, what is worse? A satirical calendar or multiple child molestations?
Sounds like the Church has its priorities in order!

you want BYU to do the right thing, what about you abiding by the same standard. Did you do the Right Thing? I think not.

Respectfully did you notice all the hypocracy shown in the videos? For whatever reason they have targeted him for their wrath.

If so, then this school is breaking the law.

LOL, a private school can do anything it wants especially if it does not except public funds and BYU does not!

How disgusting that they are being hypocritical and vindictive. As a former mormon myself, i say, what a SHAM this church is!

LOL, are you mad that Mormons uphold their standards in private and in public. If they didn't, they would be just Evangelicals and Jews!
