  • That ain't nothing. I can do 5.1ghz on air with my 2500K lol

    I haven't actually done that but I've seen 5.2ghz on air with a 2500K

  • At those speeds, I wonder how that Pentium 4 socket 478 from 2003 would stand against nowadays processors let's say for CPU intensive tasks, using internet stuff like google Maps and google earth, having a lot of tabs open at same time.. (i dont mention games as they would heavily rely on graphic card which is not the point here.. though you could found some recent 1 gb ram video card on Agp, put it on, and see what happens)

  • OMG

  • Oh man, i bet you could totally play minesweeper on this.

  • Damn that music..now I can't stop having a boner

  • So far, as of October 2011, the fastest overclock I've seen was STILL on a. Pentium 4. 7520,02Mhz.. Beats the clock of the fastest i7 990x I've seen (7100 ~something Mhz). If anyone saw faster on a 980 / 990x please let me know as im certain it can do better than that.

  • what the purpose of overclocking??

  • @raz0racanine faster processor

  • @raz0racanine increase the speed of your processor to a rate that you will never need the speed to be:P tbh most overclocking is done to just to say "ya im good" it general has little purpose but it can be used to make a older pc keep up to date in say gaming, but you will just start running it to loads of other problems anyway so really, there isnt much point lol other then we can do it lol:P

  • Слабо было указать автора музыки?

Was weak to specify the author of music?

  • I bet you could run CS:S 1.6 on medium with this

  • great music

  • Nowadays you could do this with water cooling & still get decent temps.

  • This is sick ,i love it! a Pentium 4 on 5GHz ,this was the ultimate gaming system back then ;)

  • süper denedim patladı :)

  • wow !!!! I won't do this or mine will litteraly explode !!!

  • And here I am running an ASUS mobo and an Intel Core i7-2600K and overclocking to 5.2GHz on air cooling.

Can't wait to see what we can do in another 5 years.

  • @FrizkieMC read the year, 2006; average speed of processors back then was 1.3 GHz

  • @videomavric Yeah I know, my point was how far we've come so far.

  • WOW this process is way to risky u may damage ur motherboard

  • Or a 3GHz Dual.

But a Pentium 4 is cool.

  • With today's quad-core processing power, you can get up to 6GHZ on a i7 with a normal fan. :D

  • Ou chimiste ?

  • T'es plombier ??? ^^

  • that was the thing which destroyed hiroshima

  • but with nitrogen you can reach 6 GHz with i5 :p

  • LOL no need for nitrogen

regular air/water coolers kan handle A core I5 at 5.4GHz

tho u do reach temps of 70C the cpu can handle this

so instead of lowering the temps on the cpu they made the operating temp higher

  • @klote2314 the video is from 2006, get brain.

  • ATCHUNG! XD XD

  • thats one ugly motherboard ;D

  • Sad.... I can OC my 2500K Intel processor to 5Ghz on air...

  • @biomankill FOR ONE CORE. NOT ALL THE 8 CORES

  • @biomankill

Dude this vid is 8 years old....shut the f up already.....it would be comparable if you overclocked your i5 to 12ghz.....try that on your fucking stock air cooler.....

  • didnt realize that if you put water on your cpu it will raise your mhz...

  • xD refroidissement avec de lidrogène c comm si on mdi kun processeur a des diament

  • Dude,

i just blew my fucking home.!

  • search on google where to purchase liquid nitrogen

  • @unihocstar thanks 1 thats not true liguid oxygen is almost the same as absolute zero... fool and 2 i left that comment months ago, piss off

  • terribleeee...

  • and when you set the parts on, the motherboard snaps

  • Liquid Hydrogen ? oO

I work in a lab, but I never used "liquid hydrogen" (much too dangerous)

Liquid helium, yes, but never liquid hydrogen.

  • waaaaw^^

  • Comment removed

  • use liquid oxygen that can go -300 degrees

  • @canipplecorpse No it can't, liquid oxygen boils at about -180 degrees, liquid nitrogen boils at about -192 degrees ;)

  • @canipplecorpse liquid n2o is cheaper

  • in the middle of playing a game..."brb just gotta chuck some nitrogen into my computer....

  • very very nice man you have much money to burn and the life of this pc will be musch shot

  • Rappellez-vous que cette vidéo à été faites au début des années 2000 ;)

  • I bet FSX will still win the battle!

  • This could be the future....

  • Too much thermal grease.

  • i pushed my pentium 4 origibally from 3ghz to 4.4ghz. im using good thermal paste and an akasa cooler for twenty quid of ebay. still get 44c operating temperature which is great. really dont think u need hydrogen cooling if u ask me

  • @iamthestig15 And your box is still stable after overclocking it at 4.4?

  • What's the second song name?

  • @kynigh K.Koch - Aryx techno rave 1995

  • @icedkiller686 thanks a lot!

  • why do this??

  • ajajjjajaaj a pelotudeco

  • -199°, j'te conseille d'éssaiyer avec un Phenom X2 ;) tu pluvérise 7Ghz

  • O.O

  • отличная музыка

  • Bye bye computer. You'mm freeze the chips in NO time.

  • it's not just the GHz, it's all about the FLOPS!

  • Send me a PM, ill call OSAMA and get it delivered by white van to your door.

  • Nice, now overclock to 6 GHz.. :)

  • How does the compressor provide cooling?

  • what's the thing put into liquid and crashed?? looks like a flower but i'm not sure

  • im royaly confused..

  • fuck you alll... where Am I SUPPOSED TO GET NITROGEN

  • lol mdr haha !!!!

  • plenty of it in the air ;)

  • thank you bro I like you too

  • ahahaha xD

  • @sidouya dude u realize the have liquid cooling systems that u can buy and arent homemade pipe bombs

  • @sidouya a big retailer

  • @sidouya Well exhale.

  • @sidouya i seriously LOL'd at your comment.. LOL!!! :)))

  • @sidouya ebay yes ebay i checked

  • @sidouya order it from a supplier lol. Look it up, its not hard

  • @sidouya Make it, If a 16 year old student can make it xD

    EVERYONE CAN

  • @sidouya if you work in a research lab there's plenty to go around.

  • @sidouya you are supposed to find this nitrogen in ass of your mom nub

  • @sidouya 75% of nitrogen in around us ATM!

  • @sidouya It's quite easy in fact. Just hang out with some geeks into Overclocking, they're regularly doing group orders for LN2 cans to chemical products selling companies.

  • Please give me 1st & 2nd song :D

  • super video !

  • It was from Tom's hardware. He stole this vid or reuploaded it.

  • why not testing this with plutonium ?

  • "Overclocking d'un Pentium 4 @ 5 Ghz avec refroidissement par hydrogène (!) liquide ;) "

Man, hydrogen is extremely reactive with oxygen and makes hydrogen oxide (water). This is nitrogen used in this video.

  • take it and put it in a freezer and try for 10 ghz!!!

  • i think it works much better than in a freezer ^^

  • i ment with the liquid nitrogen i saw a vid where some 1 had his oced to 9 he had it hooked up to some cooler the size of a fridge it was very noisy too :/

  • amd phenom overclocked to 7.0 hihihihihi

  • And what advantage does this give?

  • an extremely fast processor.

  • @ikbenonfire speed..although this one would not be perminant(unless you had a shitload of liquid nitrogen). overclocking is very useful for giving your pc a little kick in the ass to get it going.

  • Give me the song 0:40 - 2:35 pls

  • second tune is aryx. Great mod from Amiga scene. You can find it on amintet. Search file - aryx.lha. This is tune is .s3m mod packed with LHA. To unpack this file use Stuffit and to play it use XMPlay.

  • .s3m work with Vlc ;) Tanks

Need for the third and first song now XD

  • Putain bravo au mec O_O

  • OMG!!

    Fuck that world =O

  • Nice ;)

  • Do you seriously need all this cooling for 5ghz ?, I overclocked a Pentium 4 ,3.8 to 4.27 with an Artic 7 Cooler that cost 18$....

  • WOW! AMAZING!!

  • OMG this shit is awsome

  • what is the name of the song? ^^

  • second song? name?

  • imagine using that shit on video cards,fucking 5ghz on a 4890

  • Fuckin shit soooo cool!

  • HOLY MAMA that's fast

  • i have an even older p4 lol stock clock of 2GHz and 1 thread

  • Holy-Terrorist:>*=*

  • Give me song, plz. :(

  • crazy fast

  • w o w good pc,now you can fuck the computer...

  • fucking mac slob

  • dude you are my hero

  • when will people learn that more cores does not equal more speed.

if you have a 3.0ghz quad core super power house of a chipset this does not mean you have 12ghz of speed, it means you have 3.0ghz maximum speed but you can run seperate tasks at this speed instead of sharing the speed of a single cpu.

getting a single cpu pushing 5ghz is very difficult and when running a single task (eg. game) it will blow any quad core 3ghz cpu away. that is ofcourse before multithreading games came along

  • @jinx20001 uuhm... you got any idea of how CPU's work? so you think a Pentium clocked at 5-6 ghz beats a high end i7 with single threaded application? yeah right. Architectures of cpu's get better, they get more processing power PER CORE too, not only more cores.

  • @jinx20001 Thank you!!1 someone gets it finally!!!

Also, some programms now support "parreral processing" so it will use all 4 cores making it overall about 2X the speed coz it goes like this:

    CORE 1 controller | core2 core 3 |

    core 4 controller

  • @jinx20001 more cores does mean more speed, the more cores you have the less work load on a single core, why do you think intel cpu's are getting more and more cores

  • @jinx20001 So, if I understood, games use only 1 core? So a 3.00GHz Quad-Core is less efficient than a 4GHz single core for games?

And the clock speed means the speed of EACH core, so that the CPU can divide tasks, to avoid losing performance?

  • @kynigh Games do not necessarily use only one core, early games such as Halo did but most newer games can use 2 or 4 cores. The new Napoleon Total War game can even use 6 cores. The clock speed of a CPU does mean the speed of each core.

  • @jinx20001 you are actually wrong, the speed is one of the least important things in a cpu. the qpi L1 L2 L3 and the architecture of the cpu it self is way more important than the speed. for example if an i7 920 can has a qpi of 4.6 and L3 cach of 8mb, it will beat any core 2 quad with 5ghz of speed anyday.

  • @deagle94 true but a Pentium 3 has a good architecture and could in theory if overclocked to a high enough speed could outdo a an Intel dual core cpu

  • @jinx20001 What deagle94 said... an other example: an intel Celeron D 2.666Ghz is OUTSPEEDED so badly by an AMD Athlon 64 3500+ 2.20Ghz. And getting a CPU pushing 5Ghz isn't hard at all: My i7 920 is running at 4.5Ghz on water.. I could easily take it to 5.5Ghz with liquid nitrogen. You're just a newbie in O/C who has read a couple of forums/tutorials, watched a couple of videos on Youtube, made from these some false deductions and thought you were the most cultivated dude in the world.

  • @jinx20001 later pentium 4's use hyperthreading. You should be able to use (or access) this technology with newer games that have multithreading tech.

I've seen 3.4GHz pentium 4's overclocked at 4.4GHz. I am currently working on a pentium 4 3.8GHz to overclock at 4.7-4.8 with a water cooler. Using a 672 pent 4. Although it has less FSB than the pentium 4 3.73 extreme, the 672 uses IVT (virtualization), I swap between windows and linux to do different tasks all the time. its very fast

  • @wuta45 before I get a bunch of haters... it's not nearly as fast as any really good multiple core cpu. But many people disregard the single processor, if used correctly and to its potential they can be faster than 90% of new home computers out there even today in 2010/2011. But of course anyone's who's put any effort in upgrading a dual core is going to have a faster computer than single.

  • Which is the song @ 0:42 ??

  • woahahha noob - tell me why those scores arent on HWbot then :) the highest clock EVER made was 8179.89mhz on a P4 631

  • Lol I'm a noob? Not my fault you suck at using Google.

And so what If I got a number wrong, you retard. Go get beat up in school again.

  • liquid nitrogen cooling sux you can cool your system with one fill about 15 minutes barely enough to run a benchmark

  • thats the whole point. idiot.

  • 0.42 Can you tell me the Song name please?

  • cool......literally

  • Wooot! That is so ub3r 1337!!!

  • WOW saludos desde uruguay!

  • Yay 5GHz. At now i have 4,4GHz P4 with air (using 24h/7), not so long this 5GHz! Just rams has stopping me.

  • bout to say ow the fuck did u afford enough liquid N2O to afford to use that thing i love intel

  • It made a pentium flyyy...

  • fuck that dam song from apple they suck balls

  • SURE :D

  • ya check tha prices on ebay ebay is the CHEAPEST

  • eres un guevo con uña

  • I know what it is. anyway, a Mac has a 3.06 GHZ cpu. DUAL-CORE! 3+3=?

  • Intel quad core 2.4 ghz. 2.4*4=9.2 GHz :D

  • Doesn't work like that. Does 2 motorcycles travelling at 100 mph mean 200mph? NO. It's just that they can get more work done at a time.

  • Comment removed

  • intel qx9770 watercooled 480 radiator @ 4x5ghz XD

  • imposible

  • I wanna see what happens if you play crysis on that 5ghxz maxed out XDS

  • Nothing much, it's a better graphics card that you need. And today's processors are much more powerful then this (there are 2.7 Ghz QUAD Cores

  • Hmm ok . So you can haf a 5000$ CPU but if yout graphics card is shit, games will lag big time

  • Yep... Normally when playing games processors have the task of rendering the physx of the game (how things move in the 3d environment) but if you have an amaxing physx engine and shit graphics the processor does not matter at all.

  • Macs are better, Mac get 6 GHZ on there Macbook Pro that is only 15 inchs big

  • Bullshit. Learn your specs.

  • Comment removed

  • On the Macbook Pro you get 6 ghz. so ya

  • With processors out today its only possible to get over 6ghz with liquid helium cooling. Wow your dumb, do you even know what 'ghz" stands for?

I agree with dos195, learn your specs.

  • Actually I know that. But if you look at it more closely. A PC has a way bigger cache on their processor than a Mac book or iMac has. Plus a PC has a bigger harddrive with a higher RPM. Also might I add PC's can SLi graphics cards and contain more RAM but also upgrade. Macs cant.

You need to learn your specs.

  • imagine what hey could do now! this is a very old video

  • can you practically overclock a processor by 30-40% for ling periods of time? given that the cooling system is adequate.?

  • Omfg 5 GHz

  • WTFF the cpu thermometer even reads at -321 wow loool

  • do 6ghz

  • INCREILBE XD

  • It looks like a stone age computer now !

  • what's the name of the song that starts when you install the chipset cooler?

  • J'aurais une question qui peut paraît stupide mais je pense que plusieurs personnes doivent se la poser : à quoi sa sert d'overlocker un processeur ? A booster au maximum les capacités du processeur en question ? Merci à ceux qui me répondront (si on me répond^^)
