"the owls are not what they seem" I think refers to the so-called owl drawings in the cave - the owl symbol signifies something else/has multiple interpretations. there is also a suggestion that the owls might embody spirits (from the black lodge)?

@najhoant The man in the smiling bag was Jaques Renoit....without chemicals, the man with one arm resumes being Mike, a person from the Black Lodge, and he knows who killed Laura Palmer...as for the owls, I can't tell you about that, it's a secret.
