lovely motu gear, lovely rhodes, but unfortunally it needs the motu software , whyyyy .. anyone knows a good vst('s) or soundfonts you can use in any DAW? i need some decent rhodes sounds.. HELP! peaceoutt
Do you need Mach Five sampler to run this as a plug in. Will this run in Kontakt ? If you like smooth sounding EPs, check out the newly released Neo-Soul Keys Electric Piano for free Kontakt player and up and tell me what you think. Just do a search here on You Tube.
@4iamu yes this currently requires MachFive3. I have the Neo Soul Rhodes, just waiting for them to finish the Kontakt Player version before I review it. It's very dope imo.
@SoundsAndGear As always, thanx for excellent reviews and info bro! I really appreciate your down-to-earth attitude and super quick responses to your fans and their comments. Very rarely do I see this on You Tube at your level. By the way, do you have any original releases or joints out there yet that I can check out? 'xcuse me for my ignorance, but I've been out of the producing scene for years and just getting back into it, trying to get caught up on new gear, sounds, and producers.
Chords sound good...and yes the interface must be nice to me as well. if the UI looks good most likely its user friendly. So SJ this or Lizard Lounge?
@Prublixa could be, or maybe you just don't like it :) We all have different tastes, I definitely don't think it sounds thin but maybe it does to you, and that's cool. Thanks for the comment.
Thats my man throwing down on them Keys lol I agree wih you , That EP has a very Authentic sound without over trying to replicate a good sound. I like to vibe out on Ballad , Church and R&B type grooves at times and that is a great Interface. Im not really to Keen on Sound Fonts or samples when it comes to a good EP sound you have to have the real deal Modeling. Speaking of which what did they model that after? thought it was a Rhodes with heavy Sustain & reverb at first Sounds great & good vid.
@DigitalMuzick yeah fam, they sampled a 1979 Rhodes mkII, I love it man, really fun to play, has an "air" about it compared to other EPs that I just love. It's big, 7.5gb, but it's worth it lol. To think this is only ONE of the instruments inside of MachFive, I mean they still have a whole library of "universal" instruments on top of the new dedicated instruments. Crazy.
@SoundsAndGear Ok so that has scripting technology and synthesis architecture then if they have multiple Instruments which would lead me to believe it can be used as an VST or RTAS as well ? But on to the scripting.. so that means you can make your own scripts or sounds on it then right ?? Hows the Midi Mapping any good ??
@DigitalMuzick I'm not sure what you mean by used as a vst or rtas. MachFive is a universal sampler similar to Kontakt, so it can be used in any host that can use vst, rtas, or au. This Mark 79 is a MachFive 3 instrument, similar to how Kontakt has patches. Yes you can make your own sounds and such with it, I find it to be a lot easier to create sounds with than Kontakt is. But Kontakt has way more professional developers that use it so I use both of them :) Midi mapping is straight forward.
@SoundsAndGear Cool yea bro my concern was can it be used as an VST in a host cause I use Pro Tools alot. But I like Stand Alone programs also dont get wrong lol & Glad to hear it has a straight forward MIDI learn that should make editing Key Groups and Velocity switches etc a snap. Man we need to make our own program with scripts and put it out there LOL
Yeah, they sound good! Which one would you choose - Motu Electric (I remember u reviewing that too ...and they're both made by the same company ) or the Mach 5 ep?! And then the winner of those against NI Scarbee?! Thanks bruh
@prettdboy Yes both are made by Motu, I love them both and use them over Scarbee in most cases. I prefer the sound of the Motu EP over the Scarbee ones
