  • A lagoon monster coming out of the pond would really top this off.

  • I like the bit where he's a god at flying that thing :)

  • Was really fun to watch this video!

  • Wow!!! You are the best flyer of the champ on YouTube

  • i want to live there.

  • Nice flying, thanks for sharing it.

I got one of these planes and i must have got a lemon cos cant get it to fly straight and true no matter how much the trims are adjusted and the cg is spot on too.

  • Wow. By the best flying I have seen done with the little Champ. What is the control throw sequence to get it to do the corkscrew roll?

  • would you recommend this plane for a first rc airplane i have a rc heli and want a airplane....and great flying

  • Cute dog! Did it come with the plane? hahahah

  • Man! You're a pro!

  • @Pilotguy251 thanks!

  • awesome video. how do you fly inverted. its only 3 channel. also how do you do the back flips i tried and it stalled half way up.

  • Finally a decent video. Someone that can actually fly the Champ and has a better camera than their 90s Nokia brick phone.

  • @makgav haha cheers, those keychain camera videos get a little repetitive at times!

  • i thought i was a beast pilot, nice flight

  • @jademakos123 cheers

  • what kind of fish do u have in the pond any bass.

  • @rednexRC none as far as i know, we tried once but no luck! there is a heap of little guppy fish and shrimp

  • @ 3:16 it looks like you've learned how to fly control line! :)

  • 0:12 PUPPY!!!!

  • Nice video , one of my favorites on YT.

Great flying, great plane ,cool dogs, beautiful scenery

  • @PowerPlayRC cheers :)

  • Truly awesome flying mate. You inspired me to get one of these myself.

Can you share with us the throw adjustments that you made to the Champ?

  • @3gypt1an just move the control arms the closest you can to the control surfaces! :)

  • very good video. did you do any modifications in it? cause it looks fast.

  • How do u fly it so well??

  • Looks like you should upgrade to something a little more advanced!

  • i just ordered one for 98bucks! comes with additional 3.7

  • Wow dude, you make flying that little Champ look like child's play. Seriously, I wish I could fly mine that well, but so far no crashes lol. I love your dog and your surroundings too, absolutely beautiful.

  • @moonfly64 thanks mate have fun flying yours haha

  • My dog use to do circles like that he died I miss that little bastard.Nice flying dude.

  • @leadbelly1989 Thats sad as hell. My snaked died like 2 months ago it was sad

  • @ethanissocool What sort of snake you got Iv been breeding reptiles for years.

  • @leadbelly1989 O had a corn snake not a easy animal to take care of in alaska lol

  • Great video mate!

  • @miketre79 cheers man

  • Do a pearl harbor!!!

  • Do a barrel roll!

  • i orderd one 2 dats ago and cannot wait until i get it

  • amazing control and your dog is just awesome.

  • @anujchandkapoor cheers

  • my new champ doesn't turn right as well as it turns left any tips?

  • nice flying and i love your dog

  • @karlelvidge cheers!

  • nice video man, you sold me on the champ. thought people said it wouldnt do a barrel roll, you'res seems to do them fine =D

  • @Xertalista Those are 'snap rolls', using the elevator and then rudder. I have one of these... assumed it couldn't do a snap roll. I was so wrong. Good thing about the Champ is you can try something crazy and new to you BOOM, CRASH! Just throw it back in the air!

  • great flying! i just ordered one of these not knowing how acrobatic it might be. now i know! thanks for the super video.

  • I got this plane last week and its my first plane ive ettempted flying it twice but its been to windy any tips for when its not windy?

  • @RockieFilms haha, fly it in no wind - dont fly it in wind - not a good idea

  • @RockieFilms Just before dark it's calm around here. I get out of work at 10pm, and from 8pm-11pm there's usually no wind at all. Once you start flying in a large area with some wind, you'll notice one day that you can fly in a lot of wind. And then you'll notice you can fly in a really small area suddenly. Keep at it. Fly it high enough that a mistake doesn't mean a crash. Launch it towards the wind. Don't try to do tricks right away. Take it slow, it'll happen.

  • @spraynpray Thanks for the tip thats when i do most of my flying now and now ive got this champ down and my neighbors have started getting planes to and telling me how easy I make it look. Im now flying a F4U Corsair Micro about the same size as a champ and an all around awesome plane.

  • @RockieFilms Yeah... I have one of those now too. But it got wrecked after my first flight. I did a loop, did an aileron roll, then somebody put it in the box wrong and crushed it closed. So it doesn't fly straight and I have to build it from the ground up even though I know nothing about these things. I just built a Champ up from the ground... so I should be able to do it. The only thing that has me worried is the motor angle I have to figure out.

  • @spraynpray I believe its 2 degrees right to reverse the tourqe there are some videos on youtube on howtos you should check them out

  • Amazing stuff! Gonna get a Champ as my first plane soon, looks like great fun!

Though I ask how much practise it took to do that - i'll be happy if i can go 30 seconds without crashing!

  • @sykescalvin09 at the time of that video i had been flying for around 2 years... this was the fourth or fifth flight of the plane

  • Would the dogs chew up your plane if they got to it? Nice video!

  • @Vparanormal1 haha nah, i have taught them that if they grab it, which hardly ever happens, not to crunch it, just to fondle it haha!

  • Great video! Thanks for posting. This is the best video of flying the Champ that I have seen. Great flying, beautiful setting, and wonderfully shot. Excellent!!! Helps me decide on getting the champ instead of something else.

  • @Dave51262 thanks! you will love it!

  • COOL! ill have to try it thanks

  • How did you put ailerons on it?

  • @kx100ct there is none... you can do barrel rolls with alot of elevator and rudder... plane is stock

  • The insane Melbourne weather just let me fly my one of these for the first time this afternoon. It was the first time I have flown an rc plane and it got me hooked, I got it barreling around doing sloppy loops and even when I crashed there was no damage!

I couldn't be happier and highly recommend this plane to anyone! I have extensive experience with heli's but at a fraction of what I paid for those, this was just as fun and definitely easier!

  • @nanagn11 another thing i LOVE about this plane is how easy it is to repair., lose a wheel? drill holes in leggo wheels and put tape on the end of the gear to hold them on. Crack your: Main Wing, Rudder, Elevator, A little painters tape will fix her right up until you can get to the store :D

  • How does this little guy fly in any kind of wind? Yes, I'm assuming you want to fly it in dead calm wind conditions, but can it cope with some wind? I live in Chicago and we don't get very many dead calm days.

    Thanks!

  • @tasop7 it flys ok, but i highly reccomend if your a beginner not to fly in wind... mabye a local gym?

  • Hey man, i just bought this plane its so easy to fly ! Im just wondering how do you invert fly it ? cheers .

  • hey bro. nice vid. you can really fly the piss outta that little thing. im thinkin of getting one for my girlfreind because of this vid. have you ever flown a parkzone t-28? if you havent, you should.

    take care

  • how durable is this thing. i am looking to buy a plane as a beginner and was looking at this one in particular

  • @dndn06 the best they come, definately get it, you see in the video me crashing it alot!

  • how do you do the upside down flying?

  • @AussieJarred. Can you tell me how to turn the plane upside down in mid flight or how to do a barrel roll. Thanks

  • Do you think going to a proper spectrum remote is better than the one that hobbyzone give you in the box? I just bought a champ 2 days ago, love it, but wondering whether its worth buying a good transmitter because I feel the one supplied could be letting me down a bit. Do you notice the difference between using either of them Jarred?

  • @EaGLeBiaN no mate, no difference, if you want more precise movement on the one that comes with it, you can put skewers in the holes where the sticks are for bigger sticks, but it flies just fine with the stock transmitter

  • the dog was waiting for an airstrike

  • whats the flight time with stock battery? this just may be my first plane.

  • I have the same using a DX7 heli radio. I still go back to this plane. It is pretty funny to see what you can make it do.

One thing I have found though if you get one or buy a new wing- Take some elmers wood glue and paint the top and bottom of the wing with a light coat of the glue about 2 ribs out on each side of the fuselage. So all the way across the top 2 rips out from the fuselage on each side and flip the plane and go 2 rips back into the fuselage. This stiffens that entire area.

  • @casedog21 That is one point where the wings buckle and snap. You will first start to get creases in the wing and then it buckles or just breaks. I can now dive from about 400 feet up going full throttle and pull back on the stick and not snap the wings after doing this.

    Casey

  • @casedog21 good idea, that is the only problem with this plane, it seems to crack near the fuse, so if this fixes it, i highly reccomend it

  • On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate this plane? i want one

  • @Reesesjake 10, too good!

  • HUGE question is the reciever that comes with the plane any good im just starting in rc planes so i need a litle advice plz message back

  • @thebobbyjoe16 yes, receiver is very good

  • Nice inverted flying! Rudder rolls!? Awesome.

  • you should pull the power at the top of the loop to exit the manuver at a lower speed

  • hey how do you do the sideways loop thing

  • @tanner1427 you have to have the most rudder you can, and hold it, then push down elevator until it goes level again

  • @AussieJarred welll i have the champ that dosent have the wing rudders so i cant do it. but sometimes i can get it to do one way up in the air.

  • @tanner1427 this doesnt either it only has rudder elevator

  • @AussieJarred thats sick. i need to get new parts though because i destroyed my plane. i broke the rudders the elavator and the wings twice. haha but i still can fly it just as good its weird.

  • Great flying dude. I just ordered one of these and I hope that someday I may be able to fly it as good as you. And I agree with 1viva that this is the best video of anyone flying the Champ on YouTube, you make it look so easy.

  • crazy flying cute dog r u using spektrum dx5e, dx6I ,dx7 0r dx8

  • @minileafe DX7 but any work fine

  • What TX are you using. Doesn't look like the one that comes with it. Is it now 4 channel???

  • @seadog1967 it is a DX7, but you can do the same with the stock tx, and no, it is throttle elev and rudder - 3 channel still :)

  • Can this plane take of on short grass?

  • @F16V1PER maybe from the MCG cricket pitch???

  • Great video. Hoping to get the Champ soon. That's some great flying. I agree that you should do the advertising for HobbyZone. Nice Job!

  • Cool and fun to watch, that's what is all about, having fun!

  • THIS is THE best Champ video on YouTube!!. Congratulations, you really show what the plane can do. I wanna see more! :-)

  • would u recommend this for a very good two channel flyer?

  • great flying! love my champ. hope to fly it as well as you some day.

  • Is that a Cairn Terrier?

  • @driftingdonuts nope, aussie terrier's

  • does it have an auto lipo cut off?

  • @buttdud1122 yup

  • Nice flying mate and great dogs, your Champ can sure take a beating hehe great fun and nice vid : )

  • Just ran across your vids tonight... Bro, I'm envious of you locale! If I ever make it to the outback, I'll look you up, which may actually happen since I have a friend who recently moved there... Anyways, great job on the vids and flying. I had thought about getting a Radian for my first plane but perhaps a Champ will get first digs... Later Mate!

  • Very nice piloting! I can't do inverted with my cub like that!

  • wow that was cool I just got the Champ RTF by HobbyZone got any tips for me

  • wow that was cool

  • very nice !!!!

  • is it better than the j3 cub

  • @cesar11duran I've heard that it is way better than the cub. Ten times better.

  • How are you able to get the champ to rudder roll like that? What is the stick placements for doing it?

  • Finally someone showing the true potential of the Champ. As someone already said you should be doing the advertising video for Hobbyzone. You must have good control over the dogs , I thought for sure they were going to tear it to pieces. Thanks for a Great video.

  • @kenx53 thanks :)

  • Great flying, great control. I have done nothing but crash R/C planes. But I ordered the Champ yesterday and hope it works out better. Anyway, thanks for posting the video it is the best advertisement for a model airplane I have seen...

  • @jackloganbill thanks mate, i dont know if horizon hobby would be too happy showing beginners these moves lol!

  • very nice! the champ is a great plane. i have a few of them and love the durability and its ease and im talking easy. like the loops and your huge back yard.

  • Skills and abilities ,Skills and abilities

  • Awesome video! Very good quality. I'm HIGHLY tempted to drop the 90 bucks on the Champ....

  • even on takeoff

  • mine is always going up and right. does anyone know the problem?

  • @sovietluigi you might need to check there is no damage to the motor mount, otherwise you may need to trim the plane, or it could need some custom mixing

  • I think the dog is quicker than the plane

  • @rszanti yup haha

  • nice flying! I picked up a Champ two days ago and I love it!

Tonight I moved the pushrod one hole closer, will fly it again Sunday...how many holes did you move it?

    thanks for the video

  • @aerohusker i think mabye 3 or 4 closer in??? anyway, 1 from the inside

    thanks for watching!

  • Nice video :-)))))

  • @jcgonnin thankyou!

  • realy cool plane and your flying ability is exceptional

  • @michaelrc1 thankyou!

  • nice footage .... im guessing the dogs are trained will enough not to eat the plane ... lolol

  • @redline022 haha, yes, he has grabbed a plane before, but only minor damage has occured haha!

  • Now thats what I call good flying !

  • @nikondaveman thankyou!

  • Nice flying dude! The Champ is a pretty good little flyer. First time I have seen it. Cute dogs too.
