  • the frontosa's look like refs in the middle of a game lol very nice set up man

  • Very natural looking, could fool novices into thinking marine tank very nice

  • arent yellow labs from lake malawi, not tangayika...

    :/

  • @MichaelMaleszyk

they are not Ey they are outher fish!1!1! get it right!

  • lovin the 5 bar trets!

  • i like your neolamprologus tretocephalus! i have 3 of those myself :-)

  • very nice video.. don't listen to any of the negative comments you got because your tank rocks. As far as the rocks not being smooth.. it does not matter, especially with the fish you got in there. As far as keeping a wild stock, it is good because if it was not for the breeders, then there would not be any tank raised fish. Breeders are also provide these fish for generations to come, especially the rare ones.

  • Great tank setup and fish! I love a bunch of Leleupi, pretty yellow and they don't get too large, good for a community tank like yours ^_^

  • can you mix tropheus with other tanganykin cichlids?

  • WOW one of the Nicest Ive seen On YOU TUBE done the way we all Think is proper GOOD JOB ... I have A FRONTOSA CALVUS 55gallon My self for my African tank...

  • what are the white and blue striped ones ?

  • You have a very good sense of depth and layout on your rocks. To me, a tank that has a nice layout of rocks is essential. You've given it a great 3D effect and when you give your fish lots of nooks and crannies and places to adventure into makes the tank way far more interesting. You never know where the fish are gonna dodge in and out from. Great Job!!

  • Nice tank! :) He looks a bit like mine will look like. :)

  • man, those rocks must have cost a lot of money, lol

  • man I can't bring myself to pay for rocks. I found a chunk my friend said was limestone so I checked the USGS website and they said there was a huge deposit in that creek and I've gotten about 250 lbs. of nice limestone out of there since.

  • Add music

  • Nice rock work! Sweet tank

  • Good tank,

one question: how much litres is it have?

  • quick question.....how do you keep the poos outta the rocks, and stop it polluting the water??

  • amazing tank guy!!!

gal? how many? like the position of the stones

  • Chek mine.. it is as a video response

  • the best fishtank i ever saw

  • Chek mine.. it is as a video response

  • nice amazing....Take a look @ hearnboyz

  • Perfect !!! both for you and the fish !

  • the Tangi tank is the bomb.

  • Hahahahahaha.. dude you're such a douchebag and no one cares who's fish can eat someone elses fish.. lol... Nice tank BTW.. I have a 29 Gallon with about 12 in there.. doing really good.. and I just got an 8 Gallon Oceanic Biocube and plan on adding fish tommorow.. saltwater :)

  • what the fuck is your problem

  • where do you even get a snakehead any way. I really would like to have one.

  • ok you want it you got it, I have 2 4 foot Ball Pythons, a 8 foot Red Tailed Boa, a Milk Snake, 2 Tokay Geckos, a 2 foot Water Dragon, 2 European Green Toads, a Bull Frog, 3 cats, a dog, a 30gallon tank with 2 Electric Blue Cichlids, and a 120gallon with 2 Fire Eels and 2 Oscars(just got one today), and I ordered a Golden Nugget Pleco today also. I plan to put a Red Tailed catfish in the 120 as well but I have not being able to find one.

  • lol just moving into your post here, thats a fair amount of pets right there !, nah seriously im envious ive currently got a 150 litre american cichlid setup about 20 fish nothing above 6 inches geophagus / convicts / firemouths etc, damn sorry envious as im thinking of getting a 120 gall plus tank as id like to own possibly fire eels / oscars / maybe jags or dovii, anyways peace im envious of what u got right there ,

    Rob

  • That's cool. I would love to have a Cichlid tank but I just ran out of room for tanks today. Apart from all of the other pets I had to get a Bearded Dragon so I was like I am getting one. So I got a 40gallon breeder and some cool stuff for him(a baby Beardie) and set it up. Cost me around $200

  • Kiss My Ass! My 120gallon with my Oscar and 2 Fire Eels will kick you ass!

  • you just wish you have nice shit but you don't

  • did you spent a fortune in rock, oryou find it. love your tank : )

  • about how much did all of this cost

  • i doubt that rock in there will kill them anyways

  • i agree with having smooth rocks for these fish but here is where it gets different. only the wild ones would need smooth rocks to feel more at home. but the more you breed them the different needs they will need. lace rock is more than fish for tank breed cichlids and also for the wilds, but the wilds will act slightly different anyways, plus you shouldnt be taking wilds anyways. tank breed are far less detrimental to there natrual population than the wilds being taken

  • @tetramincolor2000 especially the lake Victoria cichlids which are severely dwindling.

  • @tetramincolor2000 : If you want to save the frontosa, first tell the locals who catch 1000s of them on hook and line in the lake every year to stop being detrimental to the environment. Aquarists have ZERO impact in comparison and inject 1000x the cash in the local economy compared to a fish that is caught for food. Stop the PC nonsense. Use your head.

  • I'm guessing you're having reading trouble, allow me to reiterate.

    "

No point in arguing with obvious trolls. "

  • It's obvious you're just some mis-informed kid trying to act e-tough. As I can see from other comments you have left on peoples fish tank vids:

"Shut up fag. He didn't ask for advice. You suck. "

No point in arguing with obvious trolls.

  • Comment removed

  • do you just search aquarium videos all day and comment about sharp rocks? The rocks in his tank aren't even sharp.. fish aren't that dumb. The only rocks that I've ever heard of causing a problem are lava rock, which usually look like shit anyway.

  • are those fish still alive? i want to put something in with my tropheus but i cant figure out what since tropheus always hog all the food!

  • They are not Frontosa! Tetrocephalus...

  • yah my bad, they are dwarf frontosa....but aren't they even more aggresive than Frontosas?

  • right! they're not Frontosa, they're "dwarf frontosa"....Neolamprologus tretocephalus are also commonly called dwarf frontosa! cmon i'm sure you knew that!

  • thanks mrStangeeA

  • some of you may not think that it's overcrowded but what you guys are missing is that, Frontosa's doesn't stay that size 4 a long time, they're actually a very fast grower so once these frontosas start getting big then you might start thinking twice...nonetheless these fishes are NO JOKE, I'm sure they must have cost you a fortune! Very nice and pretty expensive collection...try puttin' some plants around, adds some hiding places 4 smaller cichlids.

  • Thats actualy an outdated view that is innacurate. Clever decor, correct tank mate choice and understock is the best way to keep most rift valley cichlids. You stock lightly and properly and you will notice the kind of behaivour cichlids would express in thie wild. As it is in this vid is just a free for all.

  • i dont think its overstocked tho at all its just perfect looks like a lot of room back where the rocks are just wouldnt put any more nice setup and fish =]

  • Looks overstocked to me. I much prefer a lightly stock Tang tank with one or two species. That to me looks frantic and messy. Fish will probably be stressed to. Id be interested to hear your nitrate reading? Love the decor though, nicely done. :-)

  • how big is you tank? next time you clean your tank...take all your fishes out of the tank(make sure they're seperated 1 by 1, after you cleaned your tank and get the water conditioned...put all your fishes back together in the tank, it should calm them down, if it doesn't then you probably need a bigger tank.

  • this was 4 beaner7771

  • Wow!

What specie are the shelldweller and the Xenotilapia?

  • best tank ever

  • people having a go at a tank like this are insane yeah trophius go best in a species only tank but if u want them in a community it will work and if it doesn' you eill no for next time there are no rules to fish keeping there are warnings but do what u want nice tank man

  • tanganyika dio içerde sarı prenses var Denyo bari chicld aquvarium desene maL :D

  • Liam, i'm using the 125L + compressiceps couple as a comparison.. I never said this tank was 125 litres.. Any idiot can see that it's way bigger.

  • oo i see my bad

  • too fishes...poor

  • menos piedras y mas plantas

  • I'm sorry to say so, but there is waay!! To much fish in your tank. A 125l Tank is enough to home a Compressiceps couple... I can count at least 7 Leleupi's and there are so much compressiceps in your tank I can't even count them. It's an impressive sight I have to admit.. but your tank is way overpopulated!

  • wtf where does it say 125l and you can tell by looking at the tank that it is not 125l looks more like 200gal

  • If the owner does enough water changes, it should be fine.

  • looks like a very aggressive tank....the tropheus really do alot better in a "species only" tank........might have a few dead fish before too long :(

  • nice tank

  • nice alternative for frontosas. are they active ?

  • excellent set up... love your fish !!!

what do you think of mine ???

  • How large is this tank? There's so many fish. I think it's a little too overstocked for a Tanganyikan. Malawis it might be ok, but yeah this is a little too much. Anyhow, these are nice fish. Maybe get another tank or a bigger one then it'd be a lot nicer! :)

  • The tank is 350 lt and a good filter!

  • i saw a julidochromis on 0:49 :)

nice tank, but too small for so many fishes :( (i think)

  • i think most of them fish are cichlids and in wild you can usually find 10-18 in 1 sqrm

  • yes, but when spawning (in AQ can happen every day) they need a looot of space, and a julidochromis pair can easily kill an another fish (even in a 300liter AQ)

and in the AQ the fish can't swim away... what happens then? :S
