she's so fabulous!!! this show and this song never fail to give me chills. my boyfriend is black and i'm white (as penny would say i'm a checkerboard chick) but even in these modern times living in the south makes our relationship a lot more difficult than it ever should be. people don't approve of us being together, not even his mom. this song reminds me that there were harder times than this and that it'll only continue to get better as long as people stand up for love and true equality :-)

Unluckly we have no black gay people here in Rome, but I know my life would be perfect if I'd ever live an homo/interracial love story...
