@CapnCrossbones Thanks! About the guitar, its a cool one! I'd already sold my Negative LP, just got sick about the maple fretboard (the tone was too bright for me). But I got an Epiphone '58 Korina Explorer this last Sunday. It's COOL!!! Explorers are cooler than Les Pauls! MUCH COOLER! I'm in love with it! =D o/
@RostV313 , no tabs. It's been many years since I got tired of reading or writing tabs. It's just listening close to the song and trying to reproduce each part individually, and then, try the entire song in one shot. It was my first "long solo song" that I figure it out by myself. There are a few errors, but most of it is ok.
After seeing your video and searching for those Epi Negatives I ordered a G-400 Negative this afternoon and a JB-Jazz set. Can't wait for it to arrive..
I read that you placed a JB-Jazz set into your Les Paul and i was hoping you can upload a demo of the sound of your guitar (clean and overdriven).
I like everything from Megadeth, Metallica, Rammstein to Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin and Guns n Roses (going to see them this sunday)
@RutheniumPictures, THANKS A LOT!! I'm glad that this video could help you to choose a guitar. Now about the Seymour Duncan pickups: I must say that even if I record some sound here for you, the effect on the SG model will be different, since the les paul one is heavier than the SG, since it's body is bigger and thicker. But I'm looking foward for my next recording and choosing a cool song. And I think that the Gun's 'n' Roses is a very cool band too, so, enjoy the show and kick ass! =D
@mustainemonster, thanks for the comment! Now about the guitar, it's a limited edition that started in 2009, that's the reason not so many have one, also, the maple fingerboard doesn't catch the eyes of those purist players. I could say that this negative model did catch my eyes, since I always loved those high contrast themes used by Michael Schenker (Scorpions, UFO..). The tone is the same as many Epiphone models, but with a little high tone addiction, 'cause of the fingerboard. Gotcha?
@luizzeross gotta love schenker his deans are seriously beautiful guitars, but thanks for the advice i may go buy this, or the epiphone dot havn't decided yet, but cheers again :)
@mustainemonster, the best thing that you can do, is play the guitar yourself on a good amplifier. My Epiphone now has a Seymour Duncan pickup set, the same zebra black/creme (JB + Jazz) that was in the first guitar from this video (the vintage sunburst Condor CLP-2-S, a very good brazilian guitar), and I can say that this replacement was somewhat incredible. And as many say, it's not a real Gibson, but has that fat Gibson tone, and plus, an affordable price. Hope I helped. See ya! =)
@mustainemonster , hey, also about the Epiphone Dot, be warned that semi-hollow guitars aren't well fit for dirt tones (higain overdrive or distortions). My guitar teacher uses semi-hollow guitars, but he never uses drive, and he also warned me about this issue too. That is the reason I never look at semi-hollow body guitars, or hollow ones...
@luckyhah, I only did for the first guitar (a Condor CLP-2-S). They're equipped with a Seymour Duncan set (JB + Jazz). For the Epiphone white Les Paul, it's using the stock pickups. But since I've already sold the Condor, I did put that Seymour Duncan set onto the Epiphone now.
@SLIPKNOT11192, thanks for watching! Also, that white Epiphone is really a good guitar (I liked it a lot), and I recommend you! It's one from those limited editions, the "Negative Series".
@milonkill Thanks for the comment! Buckethead sure have some "sad" compositions. I like his style! Try out his album named "Population Override", it's more groovy (a rock/jazz fusion I must say! excellent one!).
@Guitar44789 thanks! =) As I said, I missed some notes, but I'll try another take later. This song is one of my favorites too, along side Padmasana, Baptism Of Solitude and Soothsayer. There are so many that it's hard to say it all here.. =)
perfect !!! I Love Buckethead ....
