In the business, only a certain percentage of someone not getting over can be blamed on the promoters and bookers. Its up to the man/or woman to get themselves over. If a booker gives you thirty seconds to cut a promo, you have to take advantage of that thirty seconds and make that thirty seconds one of the most entertaining parts of the show. Otherwise...you get swept under the rug i.e. MVP, Mark Henry, Chavo Guerrero, FUNAKI, etc.

i must point that John Morrison is probably the only person in the mid-card that is somewhat getting pushed the right way. you have him pay his dues (Lost to Edge 2 weeks ago and Jericho twice) and they're doing great with not putting him in the IC title picture too soon. Oh and I pray every night that they don't drop the ball on him. =)

I fully agree with you spinnernet, WWE has not done a good job in pushing MVP, and as much as I like HHH (my favorite wrestler) I was sickened that he beat MVP the way he did. MVP was dominating that match and all of a sudden he goes for the playmaker & HHH reverses, hits the pedigree and wins the match. I was dissapointed that after turning face, winning the US title, getting drafted to RAW with it and losing it to Kofi Kingston would set MVP up for a WWE title fued or even a title run.
To TheSAKing ~ I know what you mean. The WWE's main guys (with the surprising exception of Orton) are made out to be like a bunch of freaking Superman clones. Look at Batista v. Orton at Extreme Rules. Look at MVP v. HHH on Raw. Hell, look at Miz v. Cena at The Bash and even more so on Raw; the Miz actually dominated Cena for pretty much the entirety of both matches. But once Cena hits those shoulder blocks, you know it's all over.

The moment Cena hit the shoulder block i was like its done, i went now he'll use another shoulder block, the elevated drop thing, 5 knuckle, F-U(AA) its done. But he changed hit to make him tap, which is BS 2, Miz can't get pushed if he taps in there second honest match. HHH's performance was a lot worse, 1 pedigree. Orton didnt do to well either. and ur right its a load of bullshit.
That's kinda what I'm saying. Believe me, Miz is not the best wrestler, FAR from it. The point is Miz, as mediocre as he is, had a good showing against Cena at the Bash ("dominated" wasn't very good word choice) and really took it to him on Raw. I hardly expected Miz or MVP to win, but the fact that both guys kicked the crap out of two of the WWE's main guys only to be beaten by a few moves (or, in MVP's case, one move) is bull shit and defeats the whole purpose of building these guys up.
To be honest, I didn't watch the Bash, so I didn't see the Cena-Miz match firsthand. But if what you say is true, then their Raw match makes no sense whatsoever. How does Cena go from squashing the Miz to having to pull out a traditional "Cena win" against him the next night?

Just like Mr. Kennedy (excluding injury prone), MVP is not successfully getting over as a face with the crowd. If that's the case then he should turn heel and Vince should allow him to feud with John Cena. Because Miz/Cena feud was just a joke if the match was a squash at The Bash.
Whats booing have to do with being over man? They obviously took HHH side cause HHH is the bigger superstar, it doesnt mean MVP isnt over. Just not as over or as big as HHH but I wouldnt expect him to be yet.
There's no way that a guy like MVP should be getting THAT much of a negative reaction. A guy who's supposed to be an upper mid-card face. It doesn't matter if HHH got cheers like Hulk Hogan. If MVP was really over, he wouldn't have gotten that bad of a reaction. You can't use the excuse that "HHH is the bigger superstar" and that's why MVP got booed mercilessly. He would have still gotten some boos MAYBE, but not THAT badly if WWE had done their job building him up.
You have to remember Wrestlemania 22 though, when Cena was enormous, he got booed so badly STILL against a heel Triple H. There's just no way around it. It definitely wasn't a wise move by WWE. In the state it's in now, how could they expect any different from something so big over three years ago?
I like MVP as a face and I think he normally gets a positive reaction,but I did see that the positive reaction he normally gets didn't happen on Raw when he wrestled HHH.
MVP now come out hopping around, trying to get a rise from the crowd and all smiles its just painful to watch for me but of course I still support him but WWE needs to turn him Heel again, back to his true self, MVP was over like hell as a heel.
So technically what do this set for? A natural Heel. period. This face run is a joke they totally changed his character, taking away his tunnel and shortening his intro of his theme cause it was too Heelish.

I absolutely LOVED seeing Mark Henry get a decent pop and destroying Orton, not bcuz I hate Orton I think hes an awesome heel..but because he's had an ass whoopin coming...IMO Henry was the perfect guy to do the job. I LOVE Mark Henry and loved to see him get a W over the champion. He is just a beast and one that is actually booked correctly for his gimmick. It would be great , to me personally, to see another black WWE Champion, ecspecially someone like Henry.

Hmmmm, tell Orton he's coming for the title, but never following up on it. That's about it. i must point that John Morrison is probably the only person in the mid-card that is somewhat getting pushed the right way. you have him pay his dues (Lost to Edge 2 weeks ago and Jericho twice) and they're doing great with not putting him in the IC title picture too soon. Oh and I pray every night that they don't drop the ball on him. =)

I fully agree with you spinnernet, WWE has not done a good job in pushing MVP, and as much as I like HHH (my favorite wrestler) I was sickened that he beat MVP the way he did. MVP was dominating that match and all of a sudden he goes for the playmaker & HHH reverses, hits the pedigree and wins the match. I was dissapointed that after turning face, winning the US title, getting drafted to RAW with it and losing it to Kofi Kingston would set MVP up for a WWE title fued or even a title run.

To TheSAKing ~ I know what you mean. The WWE's main guys (with the surprising exception of Orton) are made out to be like a bunch of freaking Superman clones. Look at Batista v. Orton at Extreme Rules. Look at MVP v. HHH on Raw. Hell, look at Miz v. Cena at The Bash and even more so on Raw; the Miz actually dominated Cena for pretty much the entirety of both matches. But once Cena hits those shoulder blocks, you know it's all over.

The moment Cena hit the shoulder block i was like its done, i went now he'll use another shoulder block, the elevated drop thing, 5 knuckle, F-U(AA) its done. But he changed hit to make him tap, which is BS 2, Miz can't get pushed if he taps in there second honest match. HHH's performance was a lot worse, 1 pedigree. That's kinda what I'm saying. Believe me, Miz is not the best wrestler, FAR from it. The point is Miz, as mediocre as he is, had a good showing against Cena at the Bash ("dominated" wasn't very good word choice) and really took it to him on Raw. I hardly expected Miz or MVP to win, but the fact that both guys kicked the crap out of two of the WWE's main guys only to be beaten by a few moves (or, in MVP's case, one move) is bull shit and defeats the whole purpose of building these guys up.

To be honest, I didn't watch the Bash, so I didn't see the Cena-Miz match firsthand. But if what you say is true, then their Raw match makes no sense whatsoever. How does Cena go from squashing the Miz to having to pull out a traditional "Cena win" against him the next night?
I'm not gonna act like I understand the politics of wrestling, but I'm pretty sure I (and everyone else) knows why Triple H won the way he did on Raw, so we'll leave it at that.

There's no way that a guy like MVP should be getting THAT much of a negative reaction. A guy who's supposed to be an upper mid-card face. It doesn't matter if HHH got cheers like Hulk Hogan. If MVP was really over, he wouldn't have gotten that bad of a reaction. You can't use the excuse that "HHH is the bigger superstar" and that's why MVP got booed mercilessly. He would have still gotten some boos MAYBE, but not THAT badly if WWE had done their job building him up.

MVP, heres a guy whos reached upper midcard status and performs in the ring like hes WAY over such as a HBK or HHH. When your young and especially a midcarder you cant wrestle like a veteran and do 5-6 of your signature moves, you've got to prove that u can go and stick around for the long run. you must do new moves every month to keep the fans wanting to see more like "hey what's this guy gonna do next? i wanna see this guy" thats what the fans should expect of you. Great video. I agree, the booking committee is really dropping the ball. They really shouldn't have booked Triple H and MVP. What has MVP done since moving to Raw as a face? Hmmmm, tell Orton he's coming for the title, but never following up on it. That's about it. I really think MVP is eager to take the next step, either the bookers has to realize this and push him or MVP needs to be more vocal behind the scenes.

MVP got booed because he faced one of the wwe's top faces, to test how over he is as a face put him against guys like Orton, Edge and Jericho. It didn't really make sense to put him in a match with HHH because they forced the crowd to make a choice between the two guys and they chose HHH.
