Ricky is not stupid believe me, he may not a Degree in English like Stephen but when it comes to General Knowledge I'd say they were equal, If you've ever listened to Ricky's podcasts and radio shows from yesteryear you would see this, he really is much MUCH smarter than he sounds.

@Dungarth I was a massive fan of the old xfm shows and remember Ricky saying some very silly things when trying to trip Karl up (not the basic errors in grammar, but errors in logic). It wasn't that often, but did happen. A few times Steve would point them out. I also remember how obvious it was that Ricky had clearly been brushing up on certain subjects to be talked about on the show.

I think Ricky is very smart, but there is a pretty big intellect gap between them. Love them both though.

@Dungarth Oh and I have taken Ricky's working class background vs Stephen's classic education into consideration. Some of the old clips from a bit of fry and laurie, show and incredible dept to Steven's mental processes/powers (completely separate to his charm, delivery and how amazing articulate he is). He simply operates on a different level.

@liam4391 I don't think many people are under any illusions about Stephen's sexuality, but that was not what Mr Sword was referring to, he was referring to his own sexuality. Despite being heterosexual himself he could still say Stephen Fry was adorable.

I think it is perfectly reasonable to say that somebody (man, woman or child) is adorable, it is not reasonable to conclude that means you must want to fuck them.
