  • he thinks the tree is an opponent

  • That is tough, that rope would cut the heck out your shoulder. That is an example of hard core isometrics.

  • Daniel-san:Mr Miyagi can you break a log?

    Mr. Miyagi:I don't know trees don't fight

  • @AhoAhoMan634 **''Don't know, never been attacked by tree''**

  • What if a tree limb fell on his head .......lol

  • poor tree

  • Tree does not retaliate...heheheee

  • i like this.. thank you!

  • he is not drunk, is he?

  • thumbs up for timber seoi nage

  • nice shoes

  • I would rather recommend practising in a group of THREE with the third man holding your partner from behind than fighting a TREE...

  • @Puzyrro san nin uchi komi?

  • @jsaccount808 That's what I meant.

  • I can see the benefits of improved strength, but isn't this teaching bad posture? His feet aren't aligned with his hips which sets himself up for a good counter.

  • @skylao Considering it's a similar training technique to the training that Kimura himself used, I'd say it's not so important.

If you can keep training for training and fighting for fights then there's no problem.

  • Shit I don't have a tree...

  • I'm doing this for maybe an year and I still fell kinda stupid. But I'll keep doing it anyway.

  • @joaoantoniodebarros lol hahahahahaahaahahaha lmao your funny and your telling the truth hahhaha

  • apparently he's not very succesfull... for the tree is still standing:p

  • tree mendous idea

  • I never threw a three , because they are good fighters .-. ...

  • I never threw, because they are good fighters .-. ...

  • if im ever reborn as a tree im entering a judo comp

  • 腰痛めそう

  • So Muai Tai kicks trees and Judo pulls on them.

  • @D313370r lol ^^

  • good exercise, great to train foot work too i gues...

  • I´m kind of confused. That seems to be a black belt and yet he just pushes his butt at the tree. Shouldn´t he put his whole back at the tree?

  • @WildWilde if you watch a lot of the judo competition players they have a different technique to the bog standard seoi nage

  • @WildWilde i dont think so, because then he would get a weight back.."backweight" and thats easier to counter for the uke..though i could be wrong about that :)

  • @WildWilde

nope, cause then you arent leaning forward

  • as he progresses one day the tree shall tumble

  • hahah, this is great!

  • And he didn't throw the tree down after all those attempts? What a wimp.

  • i tie a not in the end of one of my extra gi belts and shut it i the door at eye level to do this. you can allow the strap to slip through your hands to pratice throws

  • I did this while jogging. I used a tire from my bike and lantern poles :P

  • Yes!!!!!!!

  • why didn't the tree flip over? I wanted the tree to get uprooted and slammed! lol

  • This is a great exercise!

  • wath shoes

    ahahahahahahahaahahahahahah

  • Hes going to drill a hole all the way down to America!

  • he loooks drunk =x

  • The tree is saying, "You're still knee high to a grasshopper"

  • doesnt it hurt is ass or his back ??!!

  • Its not flower arranging practice. No pain, no gain.

  • lol

  • an innertube from a bike wheel provides a bit of a stretch, makes it more realistic.

  • as his technique improves.. one day he'll uproot the whole tree :D

  • lmao damn dude thats funny

  • I tell my white roommate this is how all Asians start their day... he scratched his head, trying to figure out if i was being sarcastic or not

  • obviously you were being sarcastic -- everyone knows Asians start the day by doing math problems ;)

  • with an abacus while drinking tea

  • Hillarious :D

  • You mean it's not??? lol

  • @awazha LOL ONE DAY xD

  • @awazha He is gonna have to get his hips lower to get under the roots, but it will be a sweet Ippon once he does.

  • i do this with a tree and flexibvle rope (the stuff they have in gyms) makes greta for legs and back work

great again for Seonagi tecahes accuracy

  • lo ideal seria ir subiendo y bajando la soga atada al arbol, igual parece bueno

  • what if he throws the tree, is it ippon or timber ?

  • I'm a tree hugger not a tree bondage master!

  • loool

  • Nice shoes, bro!

  • i had saved a littil fireman pole from a play set(10ish feet tall) and i was thinking about putting it to concret and using it rather than a tree. would the be effective too?

also what else works at resistance? a rope...what else?

    thanks

  • You could try those stretchy bands that people use in Yoga and Pilates... They're not too expensive.

  • just use a bike innertube 2 $... works great!!!

  • 250 per side.. every other day..hah.. In a couple of months .. you will be able to threw a refrigrator over your shoulder..lol

  • 250!? shit i started with 50.

    well if u say so.

  • lol

  • works well for sasi suri comi goshi spelt wrong lol

  • Masahiko Kimura did these exercises for hours. He also trains Osotogari techniques the same way.

  • how would you do those in this sorta practice? sorry i have been doing judo for a while just..not outside the dojo.

  • You just do the osotogari movement. Very similar to this video.. But the difference is at the end of the movement.. Do it like you actually want to throw the tree. Keep it tight, fast and strong.

  • great drill

  • 500... thats it.

  • nice shoes

  • lol

  • this is a seoi drill. Look at the arm.
