  • Yeah Pete Rock rock on!

  • pete rock - "them cats is street" yea right lol

  • So stop hating on Kanye West/Timbaland/Swizz Beatz/who else is hated that speaks? They have respect for Pete Rock. (And if you hate Pete, this may not be of much use to you.)

  • Pete Rocks!!!! We sparked an L in my Lex outside of A1 after diggin thru some crates a couple years back....

    NYC legendary institution,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

  • thats so bad ass

  • That's so true....you almost can't call Pete's remixes "remixes" because they are almost always better than the original.

  • pharell is mega wackk

  • how the fuck yall gon say the worst pr album ever yall fuckin crazy je evolved his sound with out having to do it and keeps the beats and production gangsta and stays relevant yall nigga dumb. Ny's finest is gangsta yall mad about the guest appearances because cl was barely there and the beats are so hip hop this album is so sick yall niggas retarded yall want him to bring back the 90s and gues what it aint comin back i was like u in denial hip hop still lives but that era is dead get over it.

  • Everything these guys are saying is very VERY true....!!!

  • fuck jim jones

  • Does pete rock buy the rights to samples?

  • pete clears samples by either paying royalties to the rights holders or giving them a piece of the money he makes off the sample

  • due any hip hop producer buy the rights not og producers they chop up and flip samples until they go unrecognized or when they find a really really obsure record that they have a hunch no else got or even heard of is when they straight loop it. But other than that pete doesnt buy rights. i mean when your record collection is 90000+ who the fuck needs to wouldnt please believe that and i would never snitch on my self neither better go diggin in the crates for that shit. 1

  • Another Pete Rock Remix!

  • worst pete rock album ever

  • true! and that is so sad, i love his older stuffs.... maybe next time :)

  • yea y did a legend like pete even bother working wit him

  • haha aight punk. maybe he is a bitch. but you must be the boss

  • ok you're right. He is the punk not you

  • A remix these days is just a guest mc....boring.

  • :D me encantaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

  • the album was ok but it could of been way better in my opinion

  • too bad this album was fucking wack outside of "914". 914 was an ill beat. rest of it... doo doo.

  • this is a GREAT cd favorite track is comprehend ft papoose beat goes hard

  • This CD is off the hook its a classic. My favorite is "Till I retire" that Run DMC theme hits like a Mutha you got to bump it

  • i right

  • First of all why was promo so weak on the west coast on this and where can i get the album ffs

  • pete rock and the gza must be long lost bruthas or sumpthin.. for real,.. but pete rock..if you GETY pete rock it's the smooth smooth smooth coo shit for real.. you feel like you are IN the city on the bus on the train in the subway big buildins all round you....thats what he's got.

  • can't forget about the joint he has with chip fu on it.FIRE!

  • Soul Brother #1

-Check out my video of top 10 producers-

  • Pete Rock Is A Legend Fo Real, He Opened Doors For New Producers Like Kanye West, 9th Wonder and The Late J Dilla

Pete Rock Is One Of My Influences

  • One of the true Gods!

  • Great hip-hop album. It's all about the music and lyrics.

  • Pete rock is and will always be i my opinion the best producer of all time... he is showing the difference between noise and lyrics dat are meaningless from the real music.

  • A Message to Jim Jones and all ya' sponsers...Wanna know the difference between Pete Rock and all the current producers?...He isn't money driven like most of ya'll...The major difference is that he is truthful in regards to the deliverance of his music as well as his message. I feel no current producer today does it more vividly no more, like this man. His status is Legendary.

  • N.Y. Finest...defintely worth tha trip to ya record stores!!!

  • pete rock absolute legend...shame they had use kanye west and next bunch of fags to chat about him

  • god gave pete rock a truly amazonly gift the way he produces...

  • Jim Jones is mad wack, what a waste of a good beat

  • He shoulda gave that kool and the gang beat to busta or somebody else besides Jenny Jones!

  • pete needs to be a grown man and patch things up with cl smooth, cuz quite frankly the best shit put out was "The Main Ingredient" with CL.

btw i copped the album RETAIL, yall need to support artists that drop valuable shit

  • Pete without CL is like Erick without the Parrish, CL brings out the best in CL and they have an incredible chemistry, DJ Premier and Guru need to patch shit up too.

  • hm..come back petestrumental!!!

  • TRUTH! I LOVE IT! JDA You are right and exact..THATS REAL HIP HOP.

  • its a good thing he put jim jones on it because it shows he's makin an effort to bringin those cats rap heads think as lost and bringin them to realize what real hip hop is, he's helpin the hip hop movement by informing those commercial cats like jim jones what real hip hop is so i aint complainin bout jim jones on the track

  • i cant wait!

  • I never knew he made They Reminisce Over You, heard that shit around 2001 when NBA streets vol.2 came out and they started playing in the radio. Thats a tough beat thats how hip-hop should be. But jim jones or the dipset should rap like this, there flows are good on this kind of level. An they rap the hardest beats. I aint saying there good at it, but imagine we can roll back to hip-hop and do it again. Something you can smoke your piff on.

  • Hahahaha... T.R.O.Y. dropped in like '91-'92.

  • Jim Jones got one of them plug-in lighter type mics or some ish? he needs to comb his wig. PETE ROCK is SHUTTING DOWN the Industry with NY's FINEST... bring hiphop back PETE... commercial rap, club hop, pop music...it's all killin' the culture. Recognize - REAL HIPHOP for EVER!!!

  • WORD !!

  • ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jim looks bummy like his flow! Can't wait for the album minus jim jones being on it.

  • YO- who the fuk needs these guys approval to illustrate just how amazing pete rock is? The only one with any credibility is Amir and maybe Timbaland...but where is Lord Finesse, Premo, Buckwild, Q-tip, K-def, RZA etc...???

  • the best producer ever. man this man is a str8 genius. but working with jim jones: i dont thik so.

  • one of the best producers ever!!!

  • you serious? Jim jones he ain't real to hip hop, all he does is advertise his shit to make money, talking about cars and shit, cocky attitude. we don't need that, stick with the mainstream commercial bull sh!t because pete rock is on a different level then you are.

  • Looking forward to it. This is what Hip-Hop needs to get back to. Commercial rap is the wackest form of music.

    Straight up!

  • in 92 i was telling people that pete rock was gonna be one of hip hops all time great producers..i was spot on..look forward to any pete rock production..nice to hear timbo,pharrel,kanye,9th wonder all praise the chocolate boy wonder..legend

  • He produced the best Hip-Hop track of All-Time in Reminisce. He's the best IMHO best producer of All-Time. His fingerprints are ingrained on what's Authentic. There are some great producers in Hip-Hop and you have to throw Premier in the same breath with him, but none of the rest come close.

  • true words fam,

    there`s nothing left to say.

there`s no producer out there who could touch premier & pete rock.

as long as they`re in the game, the heart of rap won`t stop beating

  • Hip Hop is getting alive

  • they could of left out the part when Pharell said "That man was incredible".

    He is incredible

  • "New York hasn't had an album like this in such a long time"

    Damn son...one more month.

All the money Jim Jones made off both his joints and the brother can't run a combs through his hair. At LEast cover that shit up with a doo rag my nigga, damn.
