If you mean the ghosting ( sorta a delaying effect on the clip ), then you only need to like... add a lot of layers on top of eachother, and slow them down a little bit more for each layer. :3

wow this is incredible. Brings shivers down my spine watching it. I love the effects used and the greyscale is really effectvie (there are tints of yellow in it but i call it greyscale xD) i didn't get bored once, it kept me on the edge of my seat. the clips were matched well with the lyrics :) it's a good video! and i love this version of the song

Okay, first off. I f'cking love the border. It adds such an elegant, clean cut touch. It's the perfect size and doesn't get in the way^^ Love it. I also love how you started it out. That REALLY set the mood. The scene was beautiful and the fading clips were so nice :) Especially the scenes that you chose to use them. I also love the white lines how they match with the harder rings and the addictive resolves (cont.)
(...) with the softer rings^^ I, of course, love the ghost like effect xD It is so...you. creative and clean and elegant :D The scenes you choose always fit perfectly. The emotions on the faces of the characters, the speed of the clip, what the character is doing...so you're not only the master of creativity, but also the master of clip choosing :) I love how you speed up a clip and then slow it down like the "a dizzy twisted dance" and dance was slowed down, just like the singers voice XD (..)

That was so amazingly well-done! I loved the freeze-framed clips on certain beats and thought the colors used matched perfectly with the mood and speed of the song.

My initial reaction was: "Lady Gaga?? 8D" and then the music started playing and I was like, "oh, another song then," and then the lyrics came on and I was like "...What...?" And then your editing came on and I was like "OMG LOVE."
Firstly, I would never have expected this song to be capable of encompassing such a mellow and smooth mood, but it did. It's beautiful, and so is your editing. I mean...God. It's amazing. Your effects, your clips, your timing, your colours.
Your COLORS were AMAZING. They seriously were. Usually I don't like that color scheme but it was so fitting here. And your ghosting effects... they're quite characteristic of you now x3 At points I felt them a bit too much and overdone, but at times I really loved them: "...But I can't see straight anymore..." Ahhh pure love <3
I love your timing, you fit the pace of the song wonderfully...Simply nothing to critique there.
Your clip choices, too. Sombre, yet uplifting...Overall it made me feel all warm inside, and this is one of the few AMVs that actually make me feel emotional. Feel proud of that .__.
The use of plague dogs, too: I never would've thought the combination could work, but damn...I stand corrected. They made it all the more emotional. Genius.
When the music picked up I literally got CHILLS. The overlaying and the slight addition of colors...WOW.
I didn't care too much for the square cookie cutters hitting the beats, I couldn't even distinguish which beats they were hitting and they kind of got in the way. But then again, I'm not a fan of using cookie cutters at all to hit beats.
I LOVE how, in the midst of all that, you still made it exciting and threw in some TV Sim. Way to use variety! =D
And the ending was simply magnificent. You're easily one of my top favorite editors now.

You know exactly what you like / don't like, and your comments are really making me wanna improve - I shall try to slow down on the ghosting. And I shall try to ease down on on the cookie cutters, and you don't need to worry about more squares to hit the beats - making those hit every beat was such a pain in the ass, I'll think twice before doing that again. x)

Mmm wow, that was subtly a piece of art. What's very interesting here is how you used a profound movie like 'The Plague Dogs' and molded it into the music along with uplifting and serious themes. It created a feel for the 'just dance' part of the music yet at the same time explored the mellow darker themes of the music's sound.
And so it kinda gave a classy club-type yet dramatic touch. The ghosting was great, although sometimes it makes me feel trippy x) I'm also not the biggest fan of the line-matching piano keys thing, but that's just me. Overall exceeellent.

Wonderful! I love the colors and the ghosting effect is fantastic! It looks simple yet complicated at the same time, and you made fairly easy going, simple dance song into something that seems to mean something more (and I'm just saying that cause you used the slow version) The white bars and squares really help too. Just a lot of layers with the same clip above each other with low opacity, the clip have to be slightly pulled to the side though or slowed down for it to look like that^, sometimes gaussian blur on some clips help too.
Well, it depends on how much 'ghosting' I want, but on the most I used around 23 extra layers ( - and that was just for that effect ), but at some places I just used 3. ^^
This is /still/ one of my favorite videos. :3

That was so amazingly well-done! I loved the freeze-framed clips on certain beats and thought the colors used matched perfectly with the mood and speed of the song.
The TV simulator near the end was awesome and the clips matched perfectly with the lyrics^^ The cookie cutter got a bit excessive at times, but other than that, a brilliant video:]

WOOOOW. OH EM GEE. *jaw drops* That's one of the BEST video's i've ever seen, and I've seen a loooot of video's. *yeez* That. Is. EPIC. I especially like the slowmotion-effects and the cookiecutter-flashes. By the way, I was wondering if you made the intro with After Effects? My initial reaction was: "Lady Gaga?? 8D" and then the music started playing and I was like, "oh, another song then," and then the lyrics came on and I was like "...What...?" And then your editing came on and I was like "OMG LOVE."
Firstly, I would never have expected this song to be capable of encompassing such a mellow and smooth mood, but it did. It's beautiful, and so is your editing. I mean...God. It's amazing. Your effects, your clips, your timing, your colours.

Your COLORS were AMAZING. They seriously were. Usually I don't like that color scheme but it was so fitting here. And your ghosting effects... they're quite characteristic of you now x3 At points I felt them a bit too much and overdone, but at times I really loved them: "...But I can't see straight anymore..." Ahhh pure love <3

Your clip choices, too. Sombre, yet uplifting...Overall it made me feel all warm inside, and this is one of the few AMVs that actually make me feel emotional. Feel proud of that .__.
The use of plague dogs, too: I never would've thought the combination could work, but damn...I stand corrected. They made it all the more emotional. Genius.
When the music picked up I literally got CHILLS. The overlaying and the slight addition of colors...WOW.

I didn't care too much for the square cookie cutters hitting the beats, I couldn't even distinguish which beats they were hitting and they kind of got in the way. But then again, I'm not a fan of using cookie cutters at all to hit beats.
I LOVE how, in the midst of all that, you still made it exciting and threw in some TV Sim. Way to use variety! =D
And the ending was simply magnificent. You're easily one of my top favorite editors now.

Dude, I just love your comments. It's nice that somebody give me some constructive critique like you do ( - damn, you're so detailed! ). You know exactly what you like / don't like, and your comments are really making me wanna improve - I shall try to slow down on the ghosting. And I shall try to ease down on on the cookie cutters, and you don't need to worry about more squares to hit the beats - making those hit every beat was such a pain in the ass, I'll think twice before doing that again. x)

Mmm wow, that was subtly a piece of art. What's very interesting here is how you used a profound movie like 'The Plague Dogs' and molded it into the music along with uplifting and serious themes. It created a feel for the 'just dance' part of the music yet at the same time explored the mellow darker themes of the music's sound.

Wonderful! I love the colors and the ghosting effect is fantastic! It looks simple yet complicated at the same time, and you made fairly easy going, simple dance song into something that seems to mean something more (and I'm just saying that cause you used the slow version) The white bars and squares really help too. I also love the overlaying =D
All in all, a beautiful video that I'm sure to watch over and over :3

Just a lot of layers with the same clip above each other with low opacity, the clip have to be slightly pulled to the side though or slowed down for it to look like that^, sometimes gaussian blur on some clips help too.

Well, it depends on how much 'ghosting' I want, but on the most I used around 23 extra layers ( - and that was just for that effect ), but at some places I just used 3. ^^
