4:23 -- "She sits among the cabbages and peas" -- it was British music hall singer / comedienne Marie Lloyd (1870 - 1922). When the British censor objected to that line, she replaced it with "she sits among the cabbages and leeks".
@GandSAfan Who would be offended by a word referring to a 'bundle of twiggy bits'? And I live in Missouri (born and raised in the Ozark hills, where we still speak an old variant of English english. Youns for ye ones and the like)
I find something so comforting about watching this show. The food is always so good and keeps with the traditional English cuisine. Thank you for uploading!
I made Jennifer's rabbit with anchovies and capers from an earlier video and it was a delicious hit! I'll have to buy a meat grinding attachment for my KitchenAid before I get to work on this one. Cooking game is so much fun.
Wow, I love this channel. My French spouse doesn't care for rabbit, but this looks so easy to eat, I should try it and fool him. People who don't eat cooked lettuce are really missing out. It can also be blanched, chopped and frozen and used for excellent braised side dishes later. Everyone likes it! Hats off to you. Uprated and favorited and thank you cuz I have no TV and missed this series entirely in the '90s.

I will never eat rabbit. Something about that is amazingly gruesome to me.

A "Faggot of herbs".
Unfortunately, you can't really use that term here in the States without offending somebody.
