Fan of Batman and anime so it would make sense that I would be a fan of this show as well. Honestly, I always thought this show was quite different than Batman in terms of plot, but it had similar themes and characters.

I think I heard somewhere they used the same animators for this series, at the time most of the animation is done in Asia rather then in the USA so it is possible for the Batman series to resemble the Big O series.

@Redjoker96 Yeah, Big O was often referenced as the "japanese batman". I think it's also mostly in the setting (kind of modern-like city) and "feel" that Big O gives. Even though it has giant robots and such, it still has this "Film Noir" touch to it.

Though in terms of characters, i think the negociator is vastly different in terms of motivation than Bruce Wayne. But you're right on the "misunderstood heroes" part, so that's why they're so alike :)
