Okay, so I tried following the video, and I ended up doing my own facial expression. I just can't seem to do things right... But this REALLY helped!! I drew an amazing drawing, and ,believe me, I can't draw usually! Thanks SOOO much!!!

What if you turned the paper upside down for drawing the bangs on the right side? I know I have troubles with curves like that, and drawing them upside down usually solves the issue.

i totally know what you mean about the bangs!! when i draw the bangs on the left always look diffrent form the ones on the right!! and when im lazy instead of drawing another eye i just leave it closed. . . .sometimes i dont even draw another eye at all

The reason why the eyes are so spaced apart is because that's how it is in real life. Your eyes are one eye apart from each other, so if you put an eye in the middle it should equal to where the other eye starts :D Look in any life drawing or manga book :D

wow I tried this today and te first thing i noticed was that it's pretty hard to get a nice oval if you're not drawing often xD But my 2nd try was ok and I was amazed how well it turned out in the end of course not even half as good as yours but since I normally suck at drawing I thought it would look like a monster and not like sailormoon ^^

This video helped me a lot and I'm trying to work with it to get better so Thanks a lot

You are trying to be too intricate with her bangs.. When going towards her ear be more simplistic. Think of her barretts pulling the hair tight and up... ya know?

Actually, she's called "Odango-atama" which is a type of food and head put together. But it's usually translated as meatball head.

you may be having trouble with the right side bangs because your not using the natural curve of your wrist. When you do that side of her bangs, try turning the page upside-down or re-positioning yourself like so.

Nicely done. Though I should point out that you make her iris' a little too big. Making her upper lashes a little bit thicker would make it look a bit more dramatic =)

-Hair's a bit TOO voluminous.

-Round off the upper eyelids.

- Round off the face. It's shoujo style, so it usually won't be as angular as most other styles.

-Light reflections would be in the upper left part of the eye, the pupil underneath it.

i started drawing her when i first saw the anime in 4th grade...so that was like...12 years ago. of course the first few years i was still an under-developed artist. highschool was when i formed this method on how to draw her, so from then of my sailormoon art has been looking like this. =)

i started 12 years ago, but i was not drawing all the time. My dad really really hates it when i draw, he thinks it's a waste of time. So every time he caught me drawing, he'd get really mad, and yell at me because i'm "wasting my future". the only times i got to really draw were at school in classes. but i respect your comment.

It's terrible that you had to go through something like that. Fortunately, my parents were supportive of my art and have encouraged me to do something lucrative with my drawing skills. My friend knows a guy who sells his paintings for $40,000 each. So drawing doesn't sound like a waste of time to me.
