Even if that piece of shit SSC does take the record from the Bugatti, it wont hold it for long. Speed records always have been and always will be held by European cars. Especially as SSC didn't fit ABS or traction control to the Aero X because the components would add weight and fuck it's top speed up.

It's just an unrefined and under-engineered piece of shit, which is typical of America when it comes to cars. American Muscle! Need I say more???

American muscle got that very name because of the huge engines they needed to use in order to equal the power output of European cars with much smaller engines.

For instance;

A 1973 Mk1 British Ford Capri with a 3.0L V6 produced 147Bhp, whereas;

A 1973 Mk1 American Ford Mustang with a 4.9L V8 only managed to produce 140Bhp.

With 1.9L extra, the Mustang was 7Bhp LESS powerful than the Capri. The Mustang actually required a 5.8L engine just to pass 170Bhp.

The 1968 Mustang - 7.0L V8 FE-HiPo - 390Bhp!

HOWEVER, the FE-HiPo was an engine developed for racing. So it's only fair we compare it to the racing version of the Mk1 Capri, isn't it?

The 1973 Capri RS3100 - 3.4L V6 - 415Bhp!

The RS3100 actually had less than half the engine capacity than the Mustang, but 25Bhp more!

So you see, American Muscle cars truly are shit and under engineered!

Muscle cars were NOT built to drag race. They were built with large unrefined (and therefore cheaply made) engines, without any care for their efficiency because oil prices in the 70's were extremely low. FACT.

Also, you say this new Boss 302 is the first racing car to have two ignition systems (one for racing), except its not. The Veyron had two ignitions first (2005). One is set into the drivers sill (the one which will set it up for a top speed run)

You also claim that this Boss 302 has beaten 'several' European cars. That may be so, but a combination of the Veyron, the Enzo and the CCX would beat every car America has ever, and will ever produce, in any kind of race.

And what do you mean Saleen beat European cars in the 80s and 90s. Assuming you mean racing, Saleen never entered a European race until 1997, and didn't win in Europe until 1999 (GT), then didn't win again in Europe until 2004 (Imola), then it's last European win in 2006 (Spa).

So Saleen has only won four races in Europe in almost 30 years. Which is pretty shit!

So on average, Saleen, the car manufacturer you claim regularly beat most European cars through the 80s and 90s, actually only managed to win, on average, one race every decade in Europe.

So, like I said, American cars have nothing on European cars. Never have, never will. Hell, the most powerful "American" supercar at the moment is the Hennessey Venom GT, which is based on a British Lotus!

Their engines are truck-size installed by turbochargers, and that's it.
