Great more laws, but no running water in some places. Native people have pride and they search for native performers to appreciate and enjoy, but I bet that means the majority of fans are native and many are poor. I think it just comes with the territory and that in the end, James and Ernie will have to decide if they want to be beacons for the next generation of native youth or if they want to make as much money as possible.

I don't understand how people could "steal" from their own people. What happened to being proud of who you are and where you came from. Stop the madness people, support The Navajo Nation and it's people. I am Navajo and grew up on the REZ, and currently live in Ohio.

Like he said "It's a sacrifice" and I'm sure it was also there dream and goal from their very first thoughts with their families, and they made it! But people just need to be respectful and help support them instead of backstabbing them by stealing the entertainment they worked so hard for us all to enjoy!

It's not about being recognized...and about becoming rich from making movies or making albums. It's about these individuals(James, Ernie, ect...) having the talent to entertain us all. We are not all cut out to perform the way they do for us and we should be proud of them and support them. They are gifted souls bringing a smile to our faces and making us laugh. They do it as a part of supporting their families like we all try doing "making a living" doing what ever it is that we work hard doing.

He only sold 9,000 videos? that's roughly $18,000 at $20.00 per. video he also said "It's not so much about the money" but it sounds like it is, C'mon and yeah what is a few dollars here and there, anyway there featuring in movies now they gota be gettin paid for that,and we all know it's not the end of James and Ernie I could go on but "O" well....

I bought a Original copy of Mile Post 398 at a pawn shop for only 5$. I feel like I stole from the Actors and Producers. However, I Never buy anything from the Flea market because the comission never reaches the Artist or Producers.

Navajo Nation is engulfed in materialism just as the mainstream. The media misguides the masses. We shouldn't twist our traditions if we start to use "Hozho" in new forms of ritualization as stated in this video. It's sad to see that even some of our medicine people have given in to such tactics.
