  • ur rite !!!! 4real but itz half of us ! 1love old666road

  • yup ur rite !!! 1love indi0 old666road

  • What happen to part 3 & 4? Yup what goes around comes around.

  • So I wonder who was the first navajo to say "bootlegging" on the rez...

  • He's being too serious. If I was funny and I wanna spread a message, I'd do it for free just so I can change lives in a good way.

  • Anyone who thinks its okay to bootleg/buy bootleg must either be a) uneducated or b) unsupportive of artists.

And why are ya'll concerned about how much these perfomers charge?

Would you rather pay $100K for Taylor Swift to come to town, perform, take your money, then leave? Other performers in the world don't care about the rez. Period.

SUPPORT NATIVE ART, BUSINESS, AND ENTERPRISES.

  • @khoiyemayee I'd rather invest that 100K in something a lil more important and build on that for the better. Forget money, doing stuff for free makes you feel that much better. Thats a real blessing, when you do something for free and you get something good in return without the intent.

  • So U do UR job for free too? Performance is a job. Just as we have lawyers, docters, cashiers..U may not think that they deserve as much money as they earn, but when's the last time U heard of a lawyer or doctor donating their services for free?We all need to make a living & expecting performers to donate all the time will leave their families starving. I jus wanted to address the stereotypes that we performers are rich. We've got bills just like everyone else,so please stop tryin to freeload.

  • Vote for me for the Navajo Nation President and there will be a piracy law

  • its true i don't like bootleggin movie if i could do something i would legally

    . thats peoples hardwork!

  • Fuck....I feel like an ass for buying some of that pirated shit!!! My apologies to all Navajo artists. From an apache, I'm sorry.

  • bootleggers are like parasites that feed off its host till the host dies- they are killing the Native music industry- Ya I've seen them at the markets- they will never see a cent from me. See how long they can feed off nothing.

Why do you think they have to chage 6K for a show? They have to pay fees and travel costs themselves, We don't see those hidden and extra costs it takes to get them to your town. Support the Artists. Not the parasites.

  • Suck movies..

  • Nah bah haa or warrior is where the word Navajo came from.

    Stealing is stealing!!

$6.00 is to low for a show like this but due to their consideration for elders, they choose to charge a low fare.

  • why should we pay $6,000 for an hour and a half worth of old material! you need some new jokes fellas!

  • @wobeck...I didn't say spanish..dumb ass I said mexicans.......I have friend that is Dine' and he said that's where the work comes from. The elders said this is true also, that why they change it to Dine'. The cost to change it to Dine' was too much for the tribe, so they left it Navajo Nation.....you idiot......go wipe your ass!!

  • my native brother and sister plz stop this !!! it dose'nt look good on us !!!! plz at the flee martet !!! plz

  • There not funny. I think the big dude is more funnier. He needs a new partner and that's the guy in this video talking.

  • Dang Thats touching

  • the Navajo nation sucks i was born in PHOENIX ARIZONA and my mother moved back to the rez i stayed there for one year and then ran away because i hated it so much i was only 14 and ran away because how much i hated it there bunch of haters out there they teach love yea right they hated me just because i was half Indian and Mexican.

  • He also says there nation is based on truth. Isn't Navajo a word from the Mexicans meaning "THEIVE". They were stealing sheep from them. Know your history pal.. no hard feelings.

  • @MrCritic117 "Navajo" is not from Spanish, it's from a Tewa word that means "large planted field". Maybe you should get your own facts straight, sik'is, before advising us to know our history. And learn to spell your own language, for pete's sake. The Navajo had lots of sheep and horses in the 1700s, but your government took them all away along with the land at the start of the Long Walk. In the 1800s, it was the Mexicans and Bilagáana who were rustling the Navajo herds.

  • This guy contradicts him self. He says its not about the money, yet he says there goal was 10,000. He does not know what he's talking about, nor wonder why he's a comedian. hahah

  • before I watched this, I probably would have paid to see them...now, you couldn't pay me to see them...

  • Great more laws, but no running water in some places. Native people have pride and they search for native performers to appreciate and enjoy, but I bet that means the majority of fans are native and many are poor. I think it just comes with the territory and that in the end, James and Ernie will have to decide if they want to be beacons for the next generation of native youth or if they want to make as much money as possible.

  • controversially interesting...

  • Aye-Aye Matey!!

  • I'm sure everyone of us has an IPOD or some sort of MP3 player or a way to download music. So hows that different than buying bootleg cheap ass DVDs lol.

  • 02:40

My believe is that this nation came into its being because of the theft of land, natural resources, Native American ancestral knowledge, and especially Indian children from American Indians.

  • Hey didnt we raid other tribes

  • Hahaha I remember a couple of years backs I had been wanting to see these guys in a live performance during the Western Navajo Nation Fair unfortunately I was not able to make their performance, thinking that James and Ernie would be thinking of a fan they would be able to give a autograph or even trade the tickets for a t-shirt or something equivalent, they just ignored me and just said no refunds.. KARMA!!! lol

  • stop whining, boot leg movies suck anyways. who gives a crap move on goddammit.worry about your pawns and payday advances instead.

  • haha @ 6:00 mins into the video he says it well always come back on us & 8:06 he says for us to have a good day good life so which is it ? (comeback on us)or(a good life)make up ur mind!

  • you know what's funny, the guy who made this film has video on his page from an iron maiden concert...i'm guessing that the ticket stub says 'no cameras or recording'

  • I agree. Remember that this way of thought was brought to us by the oppressive U.S. Government. We are fighting to live...I'm sorry the people making a living off of your product but you of all people should understand that we are struggling and hurting for a way of survival. And if you don't understand than you truly care for yourself and not for your people...talk to council and tell them that our people need work..when people are oppressed there is no other way to survive than to steal.

  • To: Vik6969...Thank you for that comment I laughed my ass after reading your blog. You tell 'em....I hate winers too. Tell them to take it like a man, like a real navajo man. Have some balls and deal with it. Bootlegging is gonna happen whether there is a law of not, I'm not saying its right, I'm just saying whether you like or not, someone is gonna do.

  • You know i agree with that people should pay duties in respecto to the artist. But one thing though, do you send a portioin of your royalties to the artist whos music you play at your perfomances, which also must have written consent. So yes it goes both ways, and you shuld also do the same. I bought your DVD directly from oneof your shows. But here you are saying this and that , yet in your DVD i saw no express permission for you to use other artist songs in the background

  • i have a bootleg dvd of the Blue Gap boys and milepost.. Both movies are not worth buying at full price.

  • U know as I read these comments it makes me sad to see that there alot of people dissin James and Ernie bout him talkin about Piracy he is just sayin "Set an Example to the youth" I appreciate James making his view becuz I believe we need 2 take serious modern day problems into the rez we can learn from each other I was raised on da rez and I know what he is talkin about MAY MOTHER EARTH BLESS YOU! James and Ernie and being an a role mole 4 the Navajo Nation & I support ur claim :)

  • We don't buy bootleg movies but what's sad is watching an officer of the navajo police department stop at the local flea market and buying a couple of bootleg videos...that's sad. Was wondering...what is the law of piracy on the Navajo Nation?? You guys are very talented and I hope you continue to do what you do.

  • No ethics whatsoever.

  • i think that what you have said is the truth i told my family bout this video and i told them what you were talkin about and they agreed not to buy movies from bootleggers so we are helpin your family out we love you and god bless you james and ernie

  • truth hurts....

  • nice video.. =)

    -Frisco the Navajo

  • i agree that piracy iz wrong. aside from original mixtapes n preferred song compilations.

i jus think it's funny how he said "it's not about the money"... thats bullshit. everything is about money... well in my eyes at least

  • bootleggin is bad, no good. It's like subsituting real toilet paper with sagebrush, keep all yo asses clean and don't bootleg. stay clean.

  • Families have been at each others throats for generations over land disputes, in most/rare cases even killing each other.... and where do you see honesty in all this? Piracy has been a way of life for some people since the beginning of time. what makes u think that a viral, or a law enacted by the Navajo Nation government will put an end to it all? Dont get me wrong, not a pirate...Just My Point Of View.

  • Last I checked we didn't build this nation, this piece of land that we refer to as a nation was disposed to us. we adapted, grew to appreciate the land, and were fortunate to find it had some value. The Navajo Nation Thrives on Honesty?? what a bunch of bullshit! When was the last time the chapter houses provided assistance without the bureaucratic runaround/BS!?! I pick up the Navajo Times/Local News only to read about somebody else accused, charged, or standing trial of embezzlement!

  • the message below it directed to fyuocukbth..

  • Shut up you dumb fuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • U need to show some respect, appearently you were brought up by stupid ass parents to talk about someone that is tryin to talk some sence in you, it's individuals like you that make this place look like shit, all you all know how to do is TALK, TALK...

  • ha ha ha, are you done bleeding? Why don't you get a life and stop retorting to trolling? "n8tiverespect" Please, are you trying to be the moral police? In conclusion, GO FUCK YOUR YOURSELF!

  • Yeah, like I said...TALK, TALK. I guess u know how to FUCK ur self..I wouldn't know how. I do have a life thank you.

  • welcome to the new age dude sounds like he needs to hit a bigger market lol uh try hollywood dude

  • hatcha

  • james and ernie are hilarious!! but does he even think about how much of us cant even afford 30 dollars for a dvd and as much as we want 2 see em sometimes we just have 2 take the cheaper route!!!

  • I dont care how much they charge ther funy!!!

  • what's $6,000.00 a show. As far back as I remember. we've always wanted "free". times a changing. Wake up navajos'

  • James and Ernie comedy team are okay. But charging $6,000 per show. That's a lot of money. $6,000 for an hour and a half worth of comedy. Some schools try to book them yet they charge that amount. It's sad because the kids don't get to see them. James and Ernie could do their shows for free at the schools. Give back to the kids.

  • @Kayaani They came to my school when I was in 3rd grade on the reservation called Teesto and the school was called Seba Dalkai.

  • you know i thought this was about meth, the education, money, loss of culture of the new generation. but the piracy of James and Ernie?

thats the line. lets get these monsters...

  • if you say this is the navajo way, I beg the differ....music, comedians, and movies are egos of the outside world. Like every artist who complain about their work being copied. Why complain about people who do.....complain to the software developers. Knowledge is power..............

  • suck my "JILL CHEE"!!!!!!!!!!

  • i'll help you stop them boot legs but need to get some money if u know what i mean

  • Um... you sound like a little girl that dropped a popsicle and watched her puppy eat it. I think certain things go hand in hand. Ask a celebrity that has their photo taken all the time. SORRY YOU DIDN'T MAKE IT TO 10000 DVDs. I guess it was hard to make that trailer payment that month huh...

  • Yes a very heartfelt response. The ironic thing is on related videos, it shows james and ernie acts being broadcast on youtube. Is that with permission? And if not are they taking legal action on these individuals?

  • Although "ahkeah", "nacnem" or "antisocialnative" are NOT comedians, their comments were a joke! I'd like to see what talents these individuals (being nice) think they have? I'm sure you've been to their show and they made you laugh or did you view their show from a bootlegger's CD to save a few bucks. I'm happy to say that I support J&E and only wish them many more blessings. Thank you J&E for keeping us rolling with laughter unlike some who TRY to be funny!

  • Right on, James. Right on.

  • The Monica18..."thieving indians" translate into "Navajos", well "thieves"...which is what the Spanairds called us...lol

  • lol, I know

    That bugs me as well,

    but hey, its final now

So we should not try to live up to it ^-^

  • I am full "Navajo". I dont consider myself a "Navajo", but rather "Dine'" meaning "The People"

  • whoa getting intense hahaha kuz im full blooded dine = navajo = me .. c'mon now

  • i support ur out cry... stop the pirates!!

  • haha..lame and burmy ...you both need to quit worrying about the money and focus on creating a new act....

  • Good story couldve Made Grandpa or Grandma Cry, Maybe you Artist's Should Copy Proof your Disc's, or Maybe go after the Manufactors of DVD & CD Burners!!!!, or Quit making your Creations ???

Wow Great Voice and Meaning it's about time people Say something. "since When"?????? Maybe you all could help say Something about More Important News & Issues Like like Global Warming, Rising Gas Prices, Terrorist,The War in Iraq.

  • Very good! Watching from California! Do you guys think about losing some weight...

  • Yeah! finally someone important speaks up! I support ya'll...

  • I don't understand how people could "steal" from their own people. What happened to being proud of who you are and where you came from. Stop the madness people, support The Navajo Nation and it's people. I am Navajo and grew up on the REZ, and currently live in Ohio.

  • Like he said "It's a sacrifice" and I'm sure it was also there dream and goal from their very first thoughts with their families, and they made it! But people just need to be respectful and help support them instead of backstabbing them by stealing the entertainment they worked so hard for us all to enjoy!

  • It's not about being recognized...and about becoming rich from making movies or making albums. It's about these individuals(James, Ernie, ect...) having the talent to entertain us all. We are not all cut out to perform the way they do for us and we should be proud of them and support them. They are gifted souls bringing a smile to our faces and making us laugh. They do it as a part of supporting their families like we all try doing "making a living" doing what ever it is that we work hard doing.

  • He only sold 9,000 videos? that's roughly $18,000 at $20.00 per. video he also said "It's not so much about the money" but it sounds like it is, C'mon and yeah what is a few dollars here and there, anyway there featuring in movies now they gota be gettin paid for that, and we all know it's not the end of James and Ernie I could go on but "O" well....

  • lol he cracks me up this nation was built on honesty u dumbass this nation was built on white people stealing our land so waht peeps bootleg a few cds get over it if your a true musician you do it for the show not the money u sell out complaining bout a few bucks you lost be happy your cds are bootable least your reconize fool

  • So they stole our land, we have to move on

That doesnt give us an excuse to act like thieves

It puts down the whole race

Soon enough well just be known as "Theiving Indians"

    Its actually really sad

  • I bought a Original copy of Mile Post 398 at a pawn shop for only 5$. I feel like I stole from the Actors and Producers. However, I Never buy anything from the Flea market because the comission never reaches the Artist or Producers.

  • Sorry James and Ernie! Think you just lost a couple cents letting Shonie use your footage!

  • Navajo Nation is engulfed in materialism just as the mainstream. The media misguides the masses. We shouldn't twist our traditions if we start to use "Hozho" in new forms of ritualization as stated in this video. It's sad to see that even some of our medicine people have given in to such tactics.

  • Teach us! What really means to be a Navajo than drinking and doing drugs.

  • well spoken.. i would personally like to see more navajo films.
