WOW, after all these years i finally find this show and "Under the Mountain" also, which i had somehow blended the two together into one show, either way, this has been an awesome night for finding old shows that i had totally loved as a child. Thanks for the upload.

@ultimatemegadeath You're thinking of Under the Mountain a New Zealand tv show, about 2 young kids with magical stones, and the evil Mr. Wilberforce who turns in to slug type creatures. It isn't out on dvd unfortunately, though I wish a distributer such as Network dvd would do in the near future.

It was about twins brother and sister who had psychic abilities that were channeled through the stones that hung around their necks from necklaces. They were taught by an older, bearded man (who was actually an alien). Great show! I grew up watching repeats on Nickelodeon. It was shown on the sci fi variety show "The Third Eye".

@ultimatemegadeath The show the the slimy monsters was "Under the Mountain" it was released on DVD in New Zealand (where it was produced) a few years ago. I twas also remade there as a feature film in 2009 with Sam Neill.

I remember liking this for Pamela Salem, a prime ham on re-viewing it turns out, never mind. Ron Moody was good but his replacement was like some ghastly children's presenter. And the kids look like refugees from the League of Gentlemen.

@1917redstar I've seem Pamela Salem in other works & while she's definitely an "old-school" actress, I think given the number of different characters she had to play the producers wanted Belor to be a tad overacted - but she did the trick, she scared the hell out of me as a kid! Nowadays watching these episodes, she provokes rather a different reaction...

I remember her in "The Stud" at around this time, saw a recent pic of her and she's looking pretty good I'm happy to say. Ron Moody was on some rubbish called "Loose Women" the other week and is still quite sharp and funny, though he must be ancient now.

@TheNidus Its still good in my opinion, the standards were different back then, nowadays its the opposite, production is fantastic but the actual themes and stories are poor. I find myself liking the new doctor who, but when i try to work out what it is that good about the stories, well, often its nothing really, just characterization

My neighbour looked and still does, a lot like Rothgo, and when I was a kid I used to think he was the Spanish Rothgo :o) Still nowadays he lives in the same old house which looks like it's abandonned and I've never seen it inside. The fromt window has always been closed and I've never seen what's inside. He has a mysterious look and I once dreamed his home was like a luxurious palace inside. Funny euh?

That is a very astute observation! Indeed it is. Her name is Lynda Richardson.

The music for both series was also composed by the same man, Sidney Sager.
