  • interesting topic. I believe in a fundamentally deterministic world, where every event is a reaction to other events. The brain is a organic machine that follows the rules of physics and chemistry, and so there is no 'original action'/free will.

However, for everyday life, it is more practical to live with perspective that you have control, that you have the power to change things. And while we do have power, 'control' is merely an illusion.

  • In all honesty, I don't believe in destiny... I believe in POTENTIAL destiny... in that your life is predetermined, but they're only loose guidlines instead of a set plan... sure, once something has happened, it happened and there's nothing you can do AT THIS POINT, but back then, you COULD have stopped it. I'm Catholic myself, but that's not the only reason I don't believe in fate. It's also because I like being in control of myself... That kinda goes for most of humanity...

  • I disagree. As a christian, I believe life is not pre-determined.

  • i dont believe that everything happen for a reason =\

    btw, you look great ;)

  • Sorry about this Question but are you Gay/Lesbian/Tomboy? (No offense intended)

  • Beating fate is EZ. Just die.

Fate be like all up in your grillz, be like," WTF? I wasn't expecting dis!1one!1"

  • 31 seconds into the video, you said something that gets onto riskier ground. Are deja vus "fate" or something more mundane. Sure,I've had lots. But we have imaginations, patterns exist in the universe ... That said, a deja vu can be a cool experience.

  • 30 seconds into the video, I think I'm going to be totally agreeing with you. Quantum ambiguity aside, we seem to live in a deterministic universe!!! O.k. I'll unpause and I'm guessing I'll continue to agree.

  • U r so fuckin hottt!!

  • fate is a chain of coincidence. things happen due to the choices people make, as u've said. choices are made due to reaction mat it be physical, mental or/and even emotional.

  • Ur so fucking cool.

  • I always have deja vu: s too O.o

  • I was too distracted by your outfit to actually understand what you were trying to say ........ Anyway , Cool shirt :)

  • Within the past few years I have lost some sense of myself. And just like you said, it was my own negative reaction to life events that's led to this. The consequences I'm living with now are the result of my past actions.

“If you want to know your past - look into your present conditions. If you want to know your future - look into your present actions.” -Chinese Proverb.

It takes a strong person to turn their life in a better direction. I've met strong people and I know I'm not one of them.

  • I know exactly what you mean

  • Nice shirt Euge :)

  • I also believe that every event is already determined before it happens, in terms of "cause and effect." Every event that occurs, and every aspect of that event, is the exact result of the events that preceded it. Any desire or attempt to redirect that chain of events is just the result of the events leading up to that moment and the way our brain is functioning at the time--that attempt happening exactly like it was always going to.

  • I agree with you. I believe it's up to each person to decide the reason behind something happening. Everyone will read something different into it and learn something personal from it. I don't think fate or god or whatever one believes in is responsible for any reasons behind it. Like you said, I believe it's up to each and every one to find the reason.

  • Things do happen for a reason, because you give them reason. If you don't want to give them reason then things just happen. It's plain and simple, I agree with Euge. I believe in things happening, events will always be occurring because that's how life is. Just tossing out my opinion, but I feel that our lives are built on random events that mold together to create each individual person. Anyways great point made Euge, looking forward to your next video.

  • I wish you were my Philosophy professor :O

  • fate is a prick

  • @98highto Indeed. But there are moments that are nice.

  • yes, I absolutely agree, but I think that it's the most major things in life that do that, and the smaller ones like you said can be controlled by you. so sometimes, if you change a bunch of small ones you can change a big one that adds them up :)

    p.s ahh I love your hair!!! -3

  • one time I was walking home hanging out with a friend from OU back when I was in Beppu 2009. We were walking then we both stopped and saw the rarest thing that could be found dropped on the ground in Japan! 一万円 bill just sitting there, we instantly grabbed that sucka!! it was like a god sent!!

  • I find the idea of fate quite irrational. Having a deijavu does not in any way support the idea of fate. It is like seeing an UFO and automatically claiming it to be an alien space ship.

  • @BlackFlashDrive

yea it might be the Monarch's flying Cocoon. You know Guild rules and all. (yes, am fully aware that there are fictional characters eh)

  • @BlackFlashDrive I find Christianity quite irrational in itself, but alas, like what religions/ideologies/beliefs should be, they are personal.

You haven't personally went through the type of deja vus nor the amount of deja vus that I have experienced for you are not me, and with that said, even if you've had them, you may not be as affected as they are to me. Not being me, you wouldn't have the same thought process as me.

  • @BlackFlashDrive Never said you had to believe in what I believe in, I even said at that at the end of the video. I simply gave my belief to show where I was coming from.

Not sure if you missed the entire point of the video because you were so focused on my belief which even I think is hard for most people to truly feel if you haven't been through what I've been through, and the way I think, but oh well.

  • @pokeeuge wait wat makes u think de ja vu is real...y do u think we have sum kind of "essence" before where born? this alludes to us being alive before we realise where alive? personally i think your wrong de ja vu i just ur brain catching up with ur eyes...seriously..

  • iLove your accent. <3

  • wow, not what I was expecting, but I'm glad, I believe in fate like that. I originally started to think of it like plates of the earth and the way it all flows. The plates of the earth are always moving right, the lava flowing pushing things around, the way it flows, the way it's all moves, is all set for as long as it exists. Say we went back in time, we couldn't have stopped all those earthquakes from happening by killing a butterfly.

  • @KiAce2 A butterfly dying is as significant to the plates of the earth as a sandwich being eaten by a guy in Scotland to you. But directly changing the flow of it all would have some effect, so while setting off a bomb around there might not actually do that much (I have no idea whether it would or not), it might have the same effect as a car crashing and delaying the bus you catch regularly every morning. While fate is set, I think it can be changed with the correct catalyst to change it.

  • @KiAce2 It's like the butterfly effect, almost :D but interesting way, sorta like the "once in a blue moon" or "when all the planets align" sorta thing

  • XDD i go around picking cans up in my small town and on the way of picking up cans i found a dollar :D

    good karma XDD

    hahaha

yea i agree things happen for a reason like how i had to comeback to my hometown and yea things are changing since i came back here :D

  • must be fate that i came and subscribed to your channel ;)

  • Comment removed

  • Can't agree more. I always think that things have already been set. We people are just going to experience it.

  • so if i go out n play in the highway it was suppose to happen

  • Your eyebrows distracted me the first time I watched this, so I had to rewatch it a second time to get what your putting across xD

My answer is almost the exact same as yours, but I really believe that you control your own fate to a certain degree.

  • wow,...what you're wearing looks really good on you. ;)

  • love this believe of you it puts to words what i tried to explain to my friend earlier

    Very inspirational :D

    Thanks

  • First :)

  • @angy8yury amazing, you are so good! POSITIVE ENERGY!
