I met Greg at NAMM about 10 years ago and was stunned as he played "Tomorrow Never Knows".

I must have looked pretty silly with my jaw dropped to my knees. I gotta say too I've heard a few stick players, and IMO Greg is the lead honcho. It's more than obvious he's done his homework.

Greg Howard is probably the finest stick player I've heard IMO. I also think Michael Kollwitz is awesome too (more for his mellow songs and phrasing then overall technique).I'm just obsessed with this instrument and want to see/hear everything I can get my mitts on lol.

It's players like Greg that stop me from getting a Stick, as much as I'd like one. Having seen him live several time both solo and when his band toured the States, I feel like I should focus on being the best *bassist* I can be.. ;-)

Well, the price of one is also a factor as well. :D I actually would like to pick up an 8-string Stick Bass or 10-string but have it tuned in Dual Bass Reciprocal so even though I'm on a new instrument, I'm still fulfilling my role as a bassist.
