The later Santanas were effectively a series IIIA, with parabolic springs and a much improved body. This arose after the LR operation decided not to upgrade the Sant' Ana production plant when they changed over to the 90/110 models in the UK, in 1982-84. Santana then took over building the vehicles and worked on improving the SIII - this appears to be a collaboration with Iveco, who have been supplying engines to Santana for a number of years.
This is a Santana made in Spain and was originally based on the Series Landrovers last made about 1984 and for which Santana had a licence to build. This basic design predate the coil sprung LandRover 90/110 (which then became the Defender). They have made good and worthwhile improvements to basically a 1970s Landrover.
L'indistruttibile motore Iveco 3.0 con potenza fino a 177cv con una coppia max già disponibile a 1300giri + sospensioni a balestra indistruttibili + angoli d'attacco da paura + la possibilità di staccare il 4x4 rendono questa auto nettamente migliore del defender in fuori strada... certo non bisogna cercare il comfort! Il problema di questo veicolo è principalmente il prezzo... Ti pelanoooo!
@trompelamorte the massif is sort of an improvement of the santana anibal and iveco and santana have joined for it, since its body panels etc are very similar to the anibal it is replacing, it kept costs lower in machinery etc to build it in spain where it already was built
Se si impantana una PAGLIACCIATA del genere sono certo che bisogna chiamare una LAND ROVER per rimetterla in strada. E' fatta in Spagna mi sembra (e meno male!) di made in Italy ha solo il PREZZO SALATISSIMO

Sicuramente il Defender è un bel mezzo ma in alcune parti meccaniche è più fragile e per quanto riguarda il motore penso sia meglio quello della Massif. Senza entrare in dettagli perchè non sono esperto, Questa ha 146 cavalli, il Defender 120...
