Thank you for posting this video. For years I'd been frustrated with the rhododendrum bush at my apartment complex because the spent flowers look so ugly. I asked for and received permission from the landlord to finally do something about the rhodie, and thanks to your video I was able to take care of it. I can already see a difference in the appearance of the bush within several hours.
Well, generally you are correct, though you do want to break of some of those single new growths that did not have flowers so the plant branches more. I assume the plant you were deadheading is 'Anna Rose Whitney'. How do I know that, well???
