Jesus Christ is the real deal. I know, because like many others have experienced, He's visited me. You folks that don't believe in Jesus ought to consider the serious stain of sin that covers the world and who was sent here to deal with it. @BatliciousBatgirl The problem here is that you are qualifying this predicament to your exact specifications -- specifications that are not realistic. There is no such circumstance. However, let's assume that every detail you gave was true. If that was the only child that I could have, then, no I would not have him/her. But, if I knew that the children behind that first child would not suffer, then I would have that first child in order to have the others. Our situation with God is not the same.

A more accurate scenario would be this: Would you marry someone who caused you much pain & with whom you would later go through a terrible divorce if you also knew that that same terrible relationship highlighted & enhanced your relationship with your children who came through that bad marriage? I've heard of plenty of people doing that. But again he could help these people by just showing him he's there. So they probably come to the conclusion then, that god does not exist.
@BatliciousBatgirl I'm going to say something that may be hard to hear, but it is what God Himself says in Scripture. Everyone who comes to God with the right heart and seeks Him with pure motives will find Him. The focus whould be on God as the answer, not giving answers. It's self-centered for one to say that God must be a butler and serve them by giving them what they want. God does not hear people who do not belong to Him by faith, so that accounts for most who say they didn't get an answer.

@BatliciousBatgirl I'm very sorry to hear that. I don't know your details or who your are, but I do know God &I know that He is good. I've been through a lot of trials in my life (the vast majority of which were from my own rebellious attitude & bad judgment). Sometimes, God has seen fit to let me stay in the mess I made for a time, but He's always seen me through to the other side. I wouldn't be the man I am today without those experiences. I know that if you seek Him for Him, you'll find Him.

God doesn't want you to be depressed or worrying about where He is or what the truth is. He'll not fail to reveal Himself to you if you seek Him. @fridrik777 I was depressed because my boyfriend and friends aren't saved and according to the bible if they don't believe and die they will go to hell. That's what I was depressed about. They are amazing people. My christian friends however are judgemental, rude, and hypocritical. Not that my other friend don't have faults. But I think my friends who don't believe demonstrate jesus' teachings to love more then my christian friends ever have.

When I first started to get closer to God, I noticed that a few of my non-Christian friends who were better to me and seemed to be more caring than some of the Christian friends I had. @BatliciousBatgirl I, wrongly, began to see God through the people who called themselves "Christians". Looking back, it was a good thing for me and later caused me to search for God more intensely. God says to us: "I will not be mocked. I know who belong to me and I know who do not belong." But with regard to your boyfriend, I would say that when and if you go back to seeking God, you will be taking a big gamble because your boyfriend/husband may end up being a big discouragement to faith.

When Jesus said that I have come to fulfill the law some Christians believe that it's equivalent to saying I have come to revoke the law. That's just not true. @Jondadon2006 The Bible contradicts itself so many times and I am not a fan of how the canons that make up the Bible were compiled, my point being that if we are to look at every canon that is part of the Christian faith we will find even more contradictions. Ask and I will point the contradictions out but I would rather not go in depth on that and speak more on giants and Enoch. The Bible devotes one verse to giants (correct me if I'm wrong) rather early which makes everything confusing.

Almost everyone denies the power/existence of the Holy Spirit in there life at some time, but denying the Holy Spirit is not the unforgivable sin at all !!! the unforgivable sin is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit....According to the bible this blasphemy has to do with someone witnessing Jesus Christ performing a miracle and then attribute that power to Satan instead of the Spirit. However, let's assume that every detail you gave was true. If that was the only child that I could have, then, no I would not have him/her. But, if I knew that the children behind that first child would not suffer, then I would have that first child in order to have the others. Our situation with God is not the same.

A more accurate scenario would be this: Would you marry someone who caused you much pain & with whom you would later go through a terrible divorce if you also knew that that same terrible relationship highlighted & enhanced your relationship with your children who came through that bad marriage? I think this better represents the situation since we willfully cause God pain & are not innocent.

Everyone who comes to God with the right heart and seeks Him with pure motives will find Him. The focus whould be on God as the answer, not giving answers. It's self-centered for one to say that God must be a butler and serve them by giving them what they want. God does not hear people who do not belong to Him by faith, so that accounts for most who say they didn't get an answer.

They are amazing people. My christian friends however are judgemental, rude, and hypocritical. Not that my other friend don't have faults. But I think my friends who don't believe demonstrate jesus' teachings to love more then my christian friends ever have.

God says to us: "I will not be mocked. I know who belong to me and I know who do not belong." But with regard to your boyfriend, I would say that when and if you go back to seeking God, you will be taking a big gamble because your boyfriend/husband may end up being a big discouragement to faith.

You can find that the god of the bible doesn't exist in different ways, mostly just studying the bible itself.

When Jesus said that I have come to fulfill the law some Christians believe that it's equivalent to saying I have come to revoke the law. That's just not true. Some Christians follow the OT some do not, you wouldn't have such inconsistencies were you being told from a higher power. You're going to have to elucidate what fulfilling a prophecy means to you and quote scripture if you like, I am not one of the Atheists that mind.

But if the Bible alone is its own interpreter, which it is, then you can see the clear word. The reason of so many denominations itself should be evidence that it is true because the enemy (devil) wants to so pollute Christianity, that people just look and say, 'can't be bothered' I can narrow down your list in one verse

@Jondadon2006 The Bible contradicts itself so many times and I am not a fan of how the canons that make up the Bible were compiled, my point being that if we are to look at every canon that is part of the Christian faith we will find even more contradictions. Ask and I will point the contradictions out but I would rather not go in depth on that and speak more on giants and Enoch. The Bible devotes one verse to giants (correct me if I'm wrong) rather early which makes everything confusing.

Mary is the decendant of Heli. If you study out the Bible you will see in the jewish custom the inheritance was through the man. Matthew is giving the decendant from the Jewish background in order for the Jews to be reached, while Luke (a gentile) gave record of the seed from a gentile point of view showing that all can accept Him.
Jospeh was the son in law of Heli. It also makes sense as why in Matthew it says BEGAT while in Luke it says OF

Archaeology gives the Bible a greater leg to stand on, as well as pretty much blows evolution out of the water. Historically, I think we can all agree that Christ did exist. @SummerSunshine1988 Well, I'm going to respectfully disagree with your comment. Christ "MAY" well have existed. However (not that I"m a scientist), I'm not aware of any actually evidence validating the new testament or any of its "miricales" (I've seen the "documentaries" about "Noah's magic Arc" being found in Turkey). Although certian aspects of the bible may have a "preverbial leg to stand on", when it come to things like the earth being only 6,000 years old. I mean come on; really ??

@atheistrage : Most Christians don't believe Noah's Ark was found in Turkey. At least not this one. And exactly where is it said that the Earth is 6,000 years old? I've never heard of anyone believing that, and I certainly don't.

@SummerSunshine1988 Yeah well, the cronology of the bible does indicate that the earth is around 6,000 years old (if you add up all the characters who supposedly lived to be 900 years old). So once again, what is the EVIDENCE to support any of jesus's claims of divinity ? I don't necessarily want to consider myself a desendant of an ape like creature, but there is a plethora of REAL evidence to supporting the probability that we all are. I can't "pick" 'what's real because I want it to be so.

@atheistrage : We're going to have to agree to disagree on this one, because the natural cannot prove the supernatural, and I am really not in the mood to go over the evidence I've already provided you with. Plus, I'm REALLY not in the mood to get into why humans being descendants from apes or monkeys or whatever is a ridiculous idea, and not just because I don't want to believe it. We'll be here til next Easter if you get me going on that.

OoO boy you gonna go to hell. lol.. if these no god or there is.. middest well believe in him just in case so you can to heaven.. im saying to the people who dont believe in him.. im not speaking for myself.. i truly believe in him.. why? because evil wouldnt be in this world right now. so many people are denying him that they go to hell and all the devil wants is more people to go to him instead of gods temple. we all revolve around evil right now and thats the challegene we have to go through.

I deny the holy spirit because... Burning bushes cannot talk, people do not live to be 900 years old, only zombies can rise from the dead (in the movies) and the only way to get pregnant is through sexual intercourse not being touched by a ghost.... also the world is round not fucking flat like the bible says.

It is all about accpeting His gift, gravystress. Obviously you are also one of those non-believers that hasn't read the Bible. Salvation is a FREE gift. You can live eternally with God, in happiness, or you deny Him , His Word, and His help all together, and you burn. Now, who is choosing to be selfish by dealing it his own way instead of God. He is by which the reason you are even born. His Son laid his life down for everyone. Now who has the big ego? You or is it God? Think hard.
