Im doing this monologue for a competition in a few days! Seeing it done by another actor really helped me get a good perspective of it. Thanks alot. Excellent preformance!
I think you have the character down pretty well as the smooth-talker he was seen as in much of the play, but I always felt like this was where Lucifer's facade cracked. Up until this point he was acting calm and collected, until Cain suggests he has a superior in God, at which point he seems genuinely infuriated. I definately agree with TheRealSeanoftheDead that he's trying to sell Cain, but I feel like this monologue was the point where his calm demeanor broke to reveal the monster beneath.
Love this monologue, and I appreciated the way you performed it. Lucifer is a businessman. He's trying to sell Cain on his words, which is accomplished more easily if you aren't outright angry and yelling. I thought you used the natural poetry of the piece very effectively and it came across as natural.
i enjoyed this , but i think satan was angry because he is always angry when it comes to god. yu kinda seemed as if you were spitting game. Lucifer was just insulted because someone called god his superior i think you should show tht in your piece. :) just my personal opinion hey do yu know of any other good monologues that i can use im a 10th grader trying to audition for an arts school and i need a piece from a published play do yu think yu can help?
