My Mom meant/means so very much to me. So, when I got the chance to sing this at her funeral (it's one of her favorites) last year, I prayed that I would do my best, even though it was in the morning (not the best time to sing). My prayer was answered, I believe. Then, after the song was finished, I remembered my Mom singing in her sweet voice, around the house when we children were growing up. That's when I kind of lost it and began crying.
