  • Jumping??? How-too?

  • great game

  • best c64 game ever

  • the closest you'll ever get to the goat tower.

  • Geez, why was so necessary to put a time limit into this game? I always play it with a time trainer.

  • Damn hard game! Even the 2nd level is like expert skill level..

  • what are the controls for this?

  • hehe catch some fish! awesome expression!

  • He looks like a SPORE alien

  • Fabulous game. Great twist on the platform genre.

  • Nice video. Is there any chance you could send me the theme song from the opening of the game.

  • ugh i played this on the original gameboy and i could not pass stage 1...

  • I just got a nostalgic feeling! perfect.

  • man..... this game had impressive graphics for its time. but i never finished it, i thought it was hard

  • l'ho sempre detto che il comodore spacca il culo a tutti!

  • Is this the NTSC Version of the game ?

It seems to be a little bit faster than on my PAL C64.

  • Some of the cleverest and most creative graphics ever seen on the C64, and a fun game to boot.

  • This looks much better than the NES version, Castelian.

  • Adorable!

  • Absolute classic. I remember this game cost me £2.50 from an amiaga games fair. Great vid

  • the best game ........THX

  • nice nice. i tried and i failed :(

  • One of those mysterious games that I never got too far in. Some jaw dropping at the bonus level - no chance those are c64 graphics but damn straight that's the case! I'm 27 now, and continue to be fascinated by a some sort of unique atmosphere c64 had with its games... sometimes I dream of sitting at the edge of stratosphere, with me a sid chip and an aura of silence, loneliness. ..hmm, that's some post :)

  • amiga version better, this lacks colours, horrible.

  • Hmm, I still have this game in fact. Played it a few weeks ago on my C64. Still as fun as it was 20 years ago.

  • Yeah, definitely one of the classic C64 games and one of the better ones. Very nicely done. Decent graphics for the day. Nice animation and a cute animal character to boot. Just a great piece of software for the C64.

  • man this freaking game is as hard as its was 20years ago screw it :(

  • Wow, I'm an Atari ST fanboy, I didn't expect the C64 version to be this good. The pseudo3d technique used in this game is so impressive to me, I wonder why more games didn't use similar techniques? Such an original concept for the time.

  • This game was the best on C64, my favour game, glad to see it again :-)

  • My GOD. I'd never played this, but the visuals are bloody fantastic! :O

  • lol my Girlfriend is getting really angry with this game right now in the other room! pmsl

  • There was hardly every a game based on such a good idea (climbing up a tower beside lots of traps).

I played this game when I was 12 years old. Man that's already a so long time.

  • too classic for words! Astounding!

  • Loved this game. Took me months to finish it. Is it just me, or does it look like this longplay was done with collision detection off?!!

  • It was not.

  • Guess the game is a bit more forgiving than I remember then (eg at 1:33, 1:36, 1:50).

Absolutely amazing precision playing I have to say!!!

  • Great game.

I have the Game Boy version on a pirate 32 in 1 which I strongly regret buying...

    I do not condone piracy.

  • the graphics are bether then PC CGA and EGA versions .I do not know is there a VGA PC version

  • Awesome game. Played it all the time! :)

  • Skillz!

  • In case anybody is interested to know (and doesn't know it yet) this has recently come out for the Nintendo Wii's Virtual Console in Europe. :D

  • Aaaa!!Я играл в это!

  • Apparently Nebulus was ported to Nintendo and called Castelian. On youtube there a guy who claims it's one of the worst games ever. Maybe the Nintendo version, not this however. Nebulus was dynamite in 1987.

  • Fantastic game play. lol just noticed the brick towers appear to be floating on water.

  • It was one of my favourites:)

  • It had damn good graphics for the time

  • i loved this game, i failed it in my childhood, but a year so or go back, i brought my amiga down from the loft and gave it ago at age21. and completed, but i felt kind of sad inside not having won it at when i was a kid. ahhhh. the memories though!

  • Excellent game by excellent coder, I had the ST version, and JMP managed to make the thing scroll smoothly on the bonus level (The ST is notorious for having crap scrolling due to no hardware support) This looks amazing for the C64!

  • One of the best games of all time... hicksler, you don't even know what you're talking about.

  • I met the author John Phillips at a computer show and he explained how he got the rotation of the towers perfect, classy programmer that one!

    Bloody good game too.

  • Cool!

  • @marksims68 SUPERCOOL! I have ALWAYS been absolutely SHOCKED by the smoothness of the tower rotation. It was unbelievable for C64... The platforms appearing and disappearing behind the tower as it rotates, that's just pure class. Mindblowing... To think that this hardware has been around for ~30 years. OMG!!!!

  • @ hicksler

    Nebulus is a classic.

  • hicksler you wrong it a god game so get you facts straight pal

  • Yeah, this is an awesome game, and you play it flawlessly! Nice job.
