My friend...seems that your pure-fi elite had the same problem as mine...sorry for that, but this model does not have a "mute" function. If you bought it before 2 years ago, you are covered by warranty. Remember this model is not avaiable anymore....you will have to choose another U$150 Logitech product. Logitech didn't even asked me to send them my "mute" Pure-Fi Elite...If somebody here in Brazil could fix it, would be great!
I would say that mids and higs are 9....bass is 7....it sounds very good for the size and worked well until 1 month ago, when unfortunately stopped working. It turns on, but there is no audio (iPod, FM or aux) from the speakers ... seems it does not detects ipod anymore too... :(
I had not known that brand/model...seems to be very nice!! I'm looking at the Altec Lansing Mix Boombox imt800...it's really portable (accept 8 C batteries for 30 hour of music) and very powerfull. The Kicker iKick ik501 is awesome too!

That does kind of suck about the menu key situation, but it's really only going to be used in my bathroom with my extra iPod for when I shower.
As I said, go ahead and be happy! No way to be disapointed...U$60 is a very good price for them! I payed about U$130 (shipped)! Expensive? U$130 x 2 (converting to Real - Brazil money) = R$260 + 80% (import taxes and duties) = R$468,00. The minimum sallary here is R$465... I payed this price because I purchased of eBay too...the price in stores here is about R$1000. Go ahead and your showers will be veeeery nice for a very low price!! :)

They are beautiful and the sound is really amazing! Mids and highs are perfect...good bass for the size too. I understand that they may seem a bit older in a first world country, but here in Brazil is hard do find somebody who has ever seen something like them..they are perfect! Before buying I read a lot o reviews too, all positive. Lots of people saying that Pure-Fi Elite was much better than Bose, JBL, and other big brands. I can't make this comparison, but I can sure you that they are great!
Always working fine! The only thing I missed was the "Menu" key on remote control...you can't navigate ipod folders from the remote. Very strange if you think that Pure-Fi Anywhere (portable and cheaper) has it. Beside this, it's awesome...sure you'll love it.
